Stampin' In Alaska

  I'm joining the current sketch challenge at My Favorite Things .  Very challenging and took me a few minutes to figure out the panels!  Lots of options with this one. My card features the new Farm-tastic Friends set and Barn Sweet Barn die-namics from MFT.  I love the smaller barn die!  I have their original barn die which is much larger.  I'm so glad that MFT released a smaller barn with this sweet set. Of course, the images were colored with alcohol markers then die cut.  Coordinating designer papers are from Doodlebug Down on the Farm paper pad.   Welcome to another new bi-weekly challenge at Word Art Wednesday!  This week we are blessed to be sponsored by My Favorite Things .  One random participant will be the lucky winner of a $25 gift certificate to the MFT shop! My card features the Scripture Word Art this week from Psalm 20:6.  What a great comfort to know that the Lord hears us and we can be assured of such a promise! I have also used the new Sandcastle Builder Die-namics from MFT. This die is very intricate but so worth the time and effort.  I used the ink smooshing technique for the card base and printed the digital Scripture directly on the panel.  Card stock strips were torn from SU Creamy Caramel then Hero Arts Sand embossing powder applied.  I finished with die cut shell and stars from the set.   I'm playing along with the current Blossom Challenge at Power Poppy featuring Wildflower Mini digital set. The digital image was printed onto Xpress It card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  It was die cut with a wonky stitched die and layered onto papers from Fancy Pants Meology paper pad. I finished it simply with a few pearls and gingham ribbon from Gina K. Designs.   I couldn't resist playing along with the current Art Impressions challenge to include an animal.  Bonnie has such a humorous way of creating the AI images.  The animals are all so fun.  I purchased this retired image a couple of years ago from their Bird Brains line.  It could be used for so many occasions. I stamped the scene with the chicken and hay bale from AI.  The images were colored with Tombow markers then the background was loosely water colored. I have recently enjoyed creating a vertical mini slimline design.  Using a sheet of 12 x 12 card stock I cut at 3.25 then fold at 6 inches.  It worked perfectly for my barnyard scene!   I'm joining the current challenge at Di's Digi with a fun fancy fold.  My card features Di's adorable Little Mermaid digital image.  The image was printed onto X-press It card stock and colored with Copic markers and Prismcolor pencils.  I fussy cut both images and layered onto card stock from my stash.  I came across this fun fold on Instagram.  A Stampin' Up! demo is doing a series on various card folds.  You can find her blog post and video tutorial HERE is you would like more details.  This was a quick fold and one that I will use again!   The current Hero Arts challenge is By The Sea.  I'm playing along with the May 2021 My Monthly Hero Kit.  It's full of super fun sea critters and coral. I started by stamping the large coral image onto water color paper.  I used a water color wash to get the soft effect then splashed blue on the entire panel.  The fish images were stamped onto various gelli prints and die cut.  I finished with a sentiment from the kit and sequins.
