Beccy's Place October New Release - Sandy Christmas digital set

Beccy has created an adorable holiday set for anyone sending Sandy Christmas wishes!  Whether you live in a warm climate (or like me) wish that you did!  The new Sandy Christmas digital contains three adorable sandy snowmen and five coordinating sentiments. My first project is a set a gift tags and came together so quickly by using the pre-colored images included in the set.  I love the soft color combination that Beccy used for the sweet sandy snowmen.  I knew right away they would be perfect for gift tags! The second card features Steve and was colored with Copic markers.  Hero Arts sand embossing powder was applied to the snowman and beach.  The image was layered simply onto papers from Echo Park Paradise Beach paper pad. A shaker card design features Shazza (I love how Beccy gives all of her characters a fun name!) and was colored with Copic markers.  Die cut palm tree and sun fill out this sunny holiday beach scene.  Be sure to stop by...

Beccy's Place October digital Release - Sandy Christmas Shaker

Beccy has created a couple of adorable new holiday digital sets which are in the store today.  Sandy Christmas is perfect for those who live in a warm climate, or like me, wish that they did!  No matter where you live this fun set is great for your upcoming Holiday projects. This adorable set comes with 3 pre-colored and B&W lined images.  There are also five adorable coordinating sentiments.  Be sure to hop over to Beccy's Place Store to find this set and many others! My shaker card began with a recycled window envelope, designer papers from Echo Park and a rectangle Spellbinders die. I began by fussy cutting the image and coloring with alcohol markers.  The envelope and designer paper were trimmed to an A4 size.  A "window" was die cut in the designer paper to overlay onto the envelope. I filled the envelope with a few sequins, glued the top and finished my scene with a sun and palm tree die.  So simple and a great way to recycle all of those bu...

I'm joining the current challenge at Hero Arts featuring their December Kit of the Month .  I received my kit this week and couldn't wait to play! The background stamp was inked with distress inks and spritzed with water before stamping using a Misti.  I really like how it turned out!  I used an A2 Shaker Pocket from Tonic Studio filled with Sprinkles Embellishments from Stampin' Up! The space themed images were stamped onto water color paper then colored with Tombow markers. I finished the card with a sentiment from the set. Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #25 Interactive Cards

I'm joining the current Hero Arts Challenge with an ocean themed shaker card.  I started by stamping the coral image from the May 2021 MMH Kit onto a gelli print.  I LOVE the ocean themed images in this kit! I used the Hero Arts Reef Border die with black card stock for the shaker frame.  A fish from the same kit was stamped onto a gelli print and die cut as well.    Blue and green sequins with a few Honey Bee aqua tiny bubbles were used for the shaker.  A coordinating sentiment from the May kit finishes the card.  I would like to share my project with the following: Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #25 Interactive Cards Word Art Wednesday:  #499 - #500 Anything Goes Polkadoodles Craft Challenge: Wk 28 Anything Goes

Mo's Digital Challenge #302 - Anything Goes with A Mo Image

I'm joining the Anything Goes Challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil with an older image by Mo Manning called Summer Girl.  (Sorry, it appears to be retired as I was unable to find it in the store.) My shaker card started with a pasta box --- Yep, I salvaged this ziti pasta box when I spotted the fun window on the front!! Crazy, huh?!  Well, I trimmed the cardboard to the appropriate size then layered my designer paper.  The "window" was die cut on my dp with a Spellbinder rectangle die.     I added Sprinkles Embellishments from Stampin' Up! for the shaker design.  The sweet Summer Girl digi was colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut.  The sun die and sentiment are from Lil' Inkers Designs.   I'm joining the current sketch and color challenges with a fun birthday shaker card.  My card features the retired Happy Bday Centerpiece die.  I have never been very successful with shaker cards, but thought this die would be perfect.  The finished card is 5x7 which is larger than I normally create, but it really ended up nice! I incorporated the current colors with the sequins and sentiment strip from BB Greetings Galore set. Your Next Stamp Fun Friday Challenge: #116 Pets

The current Fun Friday Challenge at YNS is all about pets.  I pulled out one of my favorite YNS sets - Aquarium Antics and created a quick shaker card. I started by using the coordinating die cut for the shaker window using designer paper from Carta Bella's Beach Boardwalk.  The fish bowl was stamped and colored on a separate sheet of card stock.  I created the shaker with a piece of plastic from my stash which I layered with the sequins and dimension foam.  Then layered it all and easy peasy! The turtle was stamped into water color paper and colored with Tombow markers.  I added a little orange for him to stand on and for a pop of color! YNS Fun Friday Challenge #107 - Die Cuts

Good morning!  I have been away from the craft room for a couple of weeks enjoying a sunny break from Alaska's winter.  My crafty mojo has also enjoyed a little break and I'm back to join the current challenge at Your Next Stamp ! This week's challenge is to include die cuts on our projects.  I was a recent challenge winner and used my prize money to purchase their adorable Retro TV die.   I cut the die in both black and silver card stock an layered them then included a birthday sentiment from Keepin' It Reel for the shaker. The retro design paper is from Authentique's Dapper paper bundle.  I also used YNS gumdrops for the TV knobs.  The base card stock is Real Red from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by for a quick look!  I always enjoy hearing your feedback.  Oh, and be sure to check out the current YNS challenge and join the fun! Your Next Stamp - Fun Friday Challenge #104 Anything Goes

I'm joining the current Anything Goes challenge at Your Next Stamp with this fun birthday shaker card.  I pulled out one of my favorite YNS sets - Aquarium Antics and the coordinating dies to create this card. I started by stamping and coloring the image on a white card stock base.  I chose a coordinating designer paper and used the fish bowl die cut to make my shaker window.  I then adhered a piece of acetate to the back of the paper, layered it over dimension tape onto the stamped image with glass beads.  FUN!  and easy. The card was finished with a birthday sentiment from YNS Keepin' it Reel set.  The fish food image was stamped onto watercolor paper, colored with Tombow markers and die cut. Thanks for taking the time to stop by!  I hope everyone gets a little creative time this weekend. Gina K Designs - Fancy Foil Shaker

I'm having fun tonight creating with my Gina K. Designs Foil-Mates and Fancy Foils.  I love the professional finish that the ThermoWeb products provide.  For my shaker card I used the negative left from the Fancy Foil.  I really like how this turned out! The sentiment is from the Gina K. Holiday Cheer Foil-Mates pack.  I ran it through my Scotch brand laminator with  Gina K. Turquoise Sea Fancy Foils . I chose to use the Ornamental Holiday Foil-Mates for the card base.  It was also foiled with Turquoise Sea. Today the design team is back with a new weekly challenge - Naked Stamping - No coloring but you can use colored ink.  My shaker card began by printing the Bugaboo Coffee Words Cup image onto vellum.   It's hard to see in the picture, but the top panel was dry embossed with a snowflake folder.   The border was created using Gina K Designs Fancy Foils from Therm O Web.  I love the added sparkle that the foil provides and it is SO easy!   To finish the card I added Gina K Designs Gingham Fancy Ribbon and snowflake brad.
