Be Strong and Take Heart

I'm joining a few challenges this morning with a quick card featuring Stamplorations Things with Wings card front .  These card fronts are super thick and are perfect for a quick A2 size card.  A simply framed Scripture stamp from Verve Stamps (sadly out of business) has been applied with dimension tape.  I've applied Stickles to the bee wings and finished with a few gems from Stampin' Up! HMFMC # 343 Anything goes + the option of Make it Small.

I'm joining the current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge with the option of Make it Small.  For my project I started with an image from the House Mouse Designs Spring Mini Clear set and a tag. I began the tag base with my gelli plate and acrylic inks.  I then added a couple of layers with various distress inked stenciling.  The image was stamped directly to the tag with VersaClaire ink and colored with Copics.  The bottom border is washi tape from my stash. I finished the tag with a retired Verve Scripture stamp on white tissue paper.  I trimmed the tissue close to the sentiment and applied it with matte gel.  Fibers from my stash coordinated perfectly for the tassel. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Clean and Simple

I'm sharing a clean and simple card for the current SSS Wednesday Challenge.  My card features a set from Stampin' Up! called Sitting Here.  The Scripture is from the Scripture Medley 4 set by Verve Stamps.  I used Tombow markers to color the image and Memento ink was sponged to create the cloudy sky. This will be going out as a Mother's Day card next month! Di's Digi Challenge - For the Girls

We were able to get away for a weekend camping trip over Labor Day.  Of course, I packed my Copic Markers and a few images to color.  This is from Di's Digi called Koala.  I think it was a freebie that Di gave away this winter.  It's a cutie and the first time I've colored it. The image was colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut and layered onto a distress ink background.  You can also (barely) see a vellum circle behind her.  A few sequins and Scripture from Verve Stamps (retired) finish the card. Your Next Stamp Challenge #136 - Pastels

I'm playing along with Your Next Stamp and their challenge to use Pastels.  I created a pastel cloudy sky using Tim Holtz Distress inks.  The silhouette scene is a retired YNS stamp called Home Sweet Home.  A few sequins and gems finish the card.  The sentiment is from Verve Stamps - sadly now out of business. Art Impressions Challenge #258 Desktop Decor

The current challenge at Art Impressions is Desktop Decor .  I decided to use a recycled acrylic photo frame to make a fun desk calendar. I started by stamping the AI Garden Wagon Mini Set onto watercolor paper with Versafine ink.  The wagon was colored with Tombow markers and blended.  The flowers and grass were stamped with Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Mowed Lawn, Seedless Preserves and Wilted Violet.  The background was sponged with a cloud die and Salty Ocean distress ink. A gingham ribbon from Gina K and sentiment from Verve Stamps finish the project.  At year end, this can also become a desktop photo frame!  A small photo can slide into the frame when the calendar is removed. Art Impressions Challenge: #251 Flowers

I'm joining the current Art Impressions Challenge - Flowers with this floral bookmark.  I started by stamping the wagon image from Art Impressions Garden Wagon Mini set .  The wagon was loosely masked with a post-it note then various floral images from the set were stamped in Memento inks.   The Scripture stamp is called Good Work by Verve.  I finished by using the Spellbinders Long Classic Rectangle Large die to cut the bookmark then masking with Memento ink. As I final step I placed the bookmark in a Scotch thermal laminating pouch and ran it through my Scotch laminator.  A quick hole punch and ribbon finish the bookmark. Thanks for stopping by for a quick peek!
