Father's Day - Relax, you Deserve it!

I'm sharing a Father's Day card that will be going in the mail this week.  I purchased this wood mount stamp several years ago at my local stamp store. The company name is The Stamp Pad-Co.   This is perfect coming from Alaska!  I stamped the image and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The image is quite large so I mounted it simply onto scrap papers from my Basic Grey stash.  A few enamel dots finish the project.  I tend to keep my embellishments to a minimum since most of my cards are mailed.  FYI - Postage will be increasing again next month!! I would like to share my card with the following: Simon Says Stamp Monday:  Masculine PIP Challenge #2242 Anything Goes Lil Patch of Crafty Friends:  #231 Anything Goes  The Paper Funday Challenge:  #66 Anything Goes  Simon Wednesday Challenge:  Masculine

Create A Smile November Sketch Challenge

It's been awhile since I've played along with Create A Smile.  Their sketch challenge really caught my eye.  Sketches are my Favorite!  So, I pulled out their adorable Moose image. The design panel was created with alcohol ink and plastic wrap on my Gelli Plate.  I fussy cut the moose and colored with Copic Markers.  A splatter stamp from DRS was applied to the card base with Adirondack Espresso ink.  A few wooden stars finish the card. Create A Smile: November Moodboard Challenge

I'm sharing a fun holiday gift tag for the current moodboard challenge at Create A Smile . I started my project with a kraft tag and randomly stamped a snowflake image.  I followed by splashing white acrylic paint with a toothbrush for a fun snowy effect. The adorable moose from CAS Nanu set was colored with Prismacolor pencils and fussy cut.  I finished with a few felt snowflakes and paper strips from Basic Grey's Jovial paper pad. Gerda Steiner Share Your Designs October

I'm joining the Share Your Designs challenge with a fun Thanksgiving card featuring Gerda Steiner's Moose Love set .  This moose makes me smile!  It may not be intended for Thanksgiving, but since I live in Alaska (with moose in my front yard!) I use the image for any occasion.  The moose was stamped onto water color paper and water colored with my Peerless colors.  Fussy cut and layered onto a Gelli print panel with a fun dimond die cut cover.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamps. Catch the Bug - Saturday Theme: Great Outdoors

I hope everyone is having  a great weekend! This week's challenge at  Catch the Bug is the Great Outdoors .  When I saw this week's theme I knew that I wanted to use this cute digital Moose image from the Bugaboo Store.  (You will LOVE that he's only $1) I also knew that I wanted to create a scrap page this week. So, I pulled out some photos from trips that we've made recently around Alaska and made a simple layout. One of the great things about digital images is the ability to make them any size you want! I LOVE that! The digital moose image was printed 4 inches tall onto beige card stock. I then colored the image with Copic Markers, fussy cut and adhered with dimensional foam tape. Various stickers were applied from  Echo Park and Close To My Heart kits which were in my stash. Be sure to check out the Blog for all of the challenge details, prizes and more design team inspiration. I'm ...

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #34

It's another week of sharing over on the Sassy Cheryl Blog. Cheryl and all of the Sassy gals like to see what projects (or activities) are going on this week! If you haven't played along, check out the details HERE . We have family visiting from out of state this week. So, this weekend I didn't get a chance to work on any crafting projects. The Alaskan summers are short and our weather has been gorgeous! My aunt decided that white water river rafting would be a good group adventure! So, she signed us all up and said we were taking the EASY rafting trip. Below is a photo of twin moose calves that we surprised as we came along the river's edge. They were SO adorable! Later, we saw a mom and her calf but I didn't have time to get a photo. So, here is a photo of us on the EASY rafting! About half way through the trip (it was a 12 mile trip) the guide let us know that we were actually on the trip rated 3-4! Apparently, that's the advanced rating. Yikes! ...
