Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge #62 - Fun fold

This week's Sweet 'n Sassy digi challenge is to use a "Fun Fold".  I decided it was the perfect opportunity to overcome my intimidation of the side step fold.  The fold itself was pretty easy for me, but putting all of the elements together for the scene was a challenge! Here's what I came up with: It was a little difficult to photograph, but hopefully you get a good idea.  I followed Beate's tutorial for the side step card over on the Splitcoaststampers website.  The pup is a Sweet 'n Sassy digital called " Puppy Love " and the other dog related stamps are from a retired Stampin' Up! set called "Bow Wow".  The fun dog sentiment is a freebie from Raindrop Echo Designs Blog .  I used a MFT die-namic for the grass and the Marshmallow Cloud die from Memory Box. Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look!  I really had fun putting this together and hope to make another side step card soon.

Sweet 'n Sassy Challenges

I'm back with another post tonight featuring a sweet pup from Sweet 'n Sassy.  This is one of their digital images called " Puppy Love ".  If you hop over there by July 6 you can take advantage of a 25% discount that Korin is offering on the entire store!  Wow! My card uses this week's Sweet Stop Sketch: The card was also created with the Stars & Stripes theme set by the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge for this week. The sweet little pup image was colored with Prismacolor pencils, blending stumps, baby oil and Copic Markers.  The card base is Chocolate Chip from Stampin' Up and was dry embossed using an embossing folder from The Paper Studio.  The machine stitched panels are from Basic Grey "Oxford" and "Life of the Party" paper pads.  This was a really fun sketch and it came together really fast for me! Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look!  I really appreciate the time you take to leave comments.

There She Goes Challenge - TSG160 Circles

This week's challenge on the There She Goes Challenge Blog is to create using circles. I used a circle designer paper from the new Bo Bunny "Hello Sunshine" paper stack.  The main image was cut with Spellbinder circle nestibilities and is from TSG's " Puppy Love " set. I'm having so much fun with the adorable images and sweet sentiments included in this set.  The image was colored with Copic Markers.  The birthday sentiment is computer generated. The sketch for this card is another great one from the CPS blog challenge: Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look!  Hope you have a great weekend wherever you may be.

There She Goes #158 - Cork it!

I'm back with a second post for tonight.  Wow, the inspiration is rolling so I'm going with it! Okay, at first I thought the There She Goes challenge this week dealt with wine!  Um, no this week's trendsetter - Karen has challenge us to use Cork with our TSG images. I love using texture on my cards and cork is a really fun texture to use in many ways.  I have never stamped on cork, so I thought "I wonder what it would look like to stamp directly on the cork".  Well, I stamped the pup on the cork directly and colored with Copic Markers.  The little girl image was paper pieced and colored with Copic Markers as well.  Both images are from There She Goes " Puppy Love " set.  I love anything dog themed so this set is perfect! I distressed and inked the edges of the base panels then machine stitched.  I have to say that I'm pleased with the results!  This card really took on a life of it's own as my original idea was nothing like this....
