Gerda Steiner Designs - Just Vrooming By

I'm sharing another fun card featuring a Gerda Steiner Designs set called Vrooming By!   Gerda has such a talent with these cute critters!  This is one of their 3x4 clear sets and comes with three phrases, a word and and exclamation point.  Very versatile so that you can customize your message. I began by stamping the image onto X-Press It white card stock with VersaFine Clair Nocturne pigment ink and embossing with clear powder.  The image was fussy cut and colored with Copic markers.  I also fussy cut the houses from a sheet of designer paper by American Crafts for the background.   The houses were layered onto Stampin' Up! Basic Grey card stock.  A hand drawn center line for the street was added with an American Crafts Galaxy Marker.  Lastly, the image was adhered with dimension tape and a coordinating sentiment added. I hope my project inspires you today!  I really had fun putting this together. Supplies used for my project:...

Gerda Steiner Designs - Vrooming By!

I'm back today with another cute critter design from Gerda Steiner Designs called Vrooming By!   This adorable pup on his scooter really makes me smile!  I'm imagining this little guy taking a fun summer ride and "vrooming" his way around town! My clean and simple design started by stamping the image and sentiment with Versafine Clair Nocturne Pigment ink.  The image was then colored with Copic Markers.  I added the exhaust stamp from that I found in my stash.  They could be easily drawn as well. The finished card size is 6 x 3.75 and was layered simply on a piece of black and white designer paper from my (very large) stash of papers. Supplies used for this card:  Gerda Steiner Designs Vrooming By! 3x4 clear stamp set , X-Press It white card stock, Craft's Meow Vintage Ride (exhaust stamp), Copic Markers (E33, E35, E53, YR15, YR68, B24, B28), American Crafts Padma's Pattern designer paper. Gerda Steiner Designs New Release - Melon Muncher

I'm very honored and excited to be Guest Designing for Gerda Steiner Designs this month. I was given the opportunity to create with their newest 2x3 clear set - Melon Muncher .  I love the GSD critters and this one is just the cutest!  Love the the little cheeks and adorable face. My design started with a stenciled background using a Sun Ray stencil from My Favorite Things.  The guinea pig was stamped and masked before inking the stencil.  A few hand drawn grass clumps and gems finish the scene. Please stop by the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog for additional photos and a supply list.
