Time Out Challenge - #249 Vintage

There is a new challenge up over on the Time Out Challenge blog .  This week's theme is vintage.  I was a recent Time Out winner and was honored to be invited to Guest Design this week. My vintage design features three sets from Unity Stamp Company:  Lawd Have Mercy , Damn Girl and Old News Background stamp.  The images were printed onto kraft card stock.  Color was added with prismacolor  pencil.  The card was finished with a few black gems and gingham ribbon from Gina K. The current sponsor is Doodle Bugs .  The challenge winner receives a store credit of $25.00 to spend at the Doodle Bugs Store along with an offer to Guest Design with us for a future challenge.

Here's the card that I created combining two free Create with TLC digital images from my stash: The image has such a sweet vintage feel!  I have combined it with designer papers from the Basic Grey Serendipity paper pad.  The card layout was provided by Janette for this week's Splitcoast sketch challenge .  I really liked all of the layers and it was perfect for this digital combo. Sassy Cheryl Show Me & Create With TLC Sneak Peek

I have a sneak peek to share with you of a new digital set from Create with TLC called "Calling You".  Remember when every home had a rotary phone and we called one another rather than texting?!  Okay, I don't remember using this style of phone but I love the vintage look!  Paulette has come up with another absolute winner in my book with this set.  The set contains two variations of the image and three sentiments.  Here's what I have created using one of the images: And here's a shot of the inside: The designer papers are from MME Lost & Found Two - Sunshine paper pad.  The ribbon is from my large stash and the pearls are from Amuse.  I added a machine stitched border and a lot of ink distressing to the edges.  And for the Sassy Cheryl " Show Me " ladies I am sharing a couple of photos from today's snowy walk at the dogpark.  We awoke to a very wet, heavy snowfall today.  It has continued all day and we now have a nice,...

Sassy Cheryl Show Me #70

It's time again to share with the Sassy Cheryl Show Me group! If you haven't played along before it's easy. Just post a photo of what's been going on this week. Cheryl will give one lucky person credit to the Sassy Cheryl digital shop . Easy peasy! I am sharing my craft space tonight. I have a couple of completed projects and the start of a Sassy Cheryl project. I also received my goodies from My Favorite Things today! Woo-Hoo! Can't wait to play! I'm also including a retro Rubbermaid ad from a 1953 edition of "Household". I don't remember where I picked up the magazine, but it has some fabulous ads. I was experimenting with my scanner tonight and thought I would share. I LOVE these colorful adds from the 50s! Maybe you can include it on a card as is or cut it down to just to kitchen scene. Either way -- Vintage Fun! Thanks for stopping by! I always enjoy reading your comments. Let me know if the vintage ad is of interest. I'm...

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #23

Hi! It's another week of peeking into our workspaces over on the Sassy Cheryl Blog . The sassy's are taking a peek at what everyone else is doing this week! It's fun and an easy way to possibly win a Sassy Cheryl digital image. This is my space this week...... I decided to make a recipe board for my mom as a Mother's Day gift. She remodeled her kitchen a couple of years ago with a vintage theme in mind. I hope this project fits right in! You can see all of my supplies below. I found a thin metal wall hanging at JoAnne's for $3.00 and covered it with October Afternoon designer Papers using Mod Podge. Most of the real decoration is from a Crafty Secrets kitchen themed sticker sheet. It went pretty quick after I got started. Here is the completed project. The base is metal so magnets will hold the recipe card. I have attached a magnet to the rolling pin sticker to hold this recipe card. Thanks for stopping by!
