Stampin' In Alaska

  Amy Tsuruta hosts a monthly challenge to use our woodblock stamps.  I look forward to playing along each month as it gives me an "excuse" to look through my stash of older stamps.  This month I was in need of an Anniversary card for my cousin and her husband.  This woodblock image from Stampendous (2011) Beachfront Boat worked perfectly.  I've had this one for a while and I believe it was purchased at JoAnne's when they sold the Stampendous line of stamps. The image was stamped onto an ink smooshed (left over ink) page then cut out and layered with black card stock.  A few embossed lines were applied with my cutting board and a sentiment from Unity Stamp Company.  A coordinating border of Stampin' Up! Perfect Plum card stock finishes the card.  My clean and simple design will be going in the mail this week!   I'm playing along with the House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge .  This week's challenge is stitches.  My card features an older Stampendous wood mount stamp called Knit Gift. The image was stamped onto water color paper and water colored with Tombow Markers then die cut with a wonky stitched die.  Prismacolor pencils were also added for highlights.  The sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up set called Hand Knit.  The striped designer paper is from the Stampin' Up 2010 In-Color papers.  SU Poppy Parade and Cool Caribbean card stock were used. I'm joining the House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge with a cute Anniversary card.    I love using this sweet image from the Stampendous Spring Mini Clear Set for anniversary cards.  They look to me like a happy couple enjoying the evening. The image was colored with Tombow Markers then layered onto MME pattern paper and a variety of circle die cuts.  This was a fun design that used several "scrap" items from my stash.  The sentiment is a retired Stampin' Up! hostess set called Express Yourself.   I'm joining the current House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge with the optional theme this week - More than ONE fold.  The inspiration for my fun fold (more than one fold) came from the blog of Shoregirl's Creations.  You can check out her beautiful design HERE .  My card features the adorable little mice from the Stampendous Mini Spring set.  This is such a fun set with a variety of mischievous mice!   The image was heat embossed and colored with Tombow markers.  The Spellbinders die cut was mounted onto a small square "hinge" allowing the image panel to unfold and reveal the inside sentiment. Designer papers are from Carta Bella.  Long retired Stampin' Up! Barely Banana and Regal Rose card stock accents the card/cardbase.   I'm joining the current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge with the Option Doodle It .  I have used the Stampendous Cling Dream Flower image for my card.   The image was embossed then colored with Copic Markers.  After die cutting, a doodled frame was created around the image.  I chose lots of blue designer papers from an older MME Moments paper pad to coordinate with the image.  A few blue pearls from my stash finish the card. I've omitted the sentiment for now.  It's nice to have a general card for any occasion that comes up.   I'm joining the current House Mouse Challenge with the optional scraps. My card features an image from the Stampendous Everyday Mini Clear Set - POPHM53.  The image was colored with Copic Markers and layered onto papers from Stampin' Up!  I finished with twine and a coordinating sentiment.   This is a special Anniversary card going to my cousin and his wife.  They will be celebrating their 5th Wedding Anniversary and just returned from Cozumel, Mexico where they honeymooned.   My clean and simple design features a lovely beach scene from Stampendous called Beachfront Boat N234.  It was stamped and heat embossed on water color paper.  I used distress ink, Tombow markers and Hero Arts Reactive inks to water color the scene.  A sentiment from Hero Arts and Stickles on the water completes the card.   I couldn't resist playing along with the Spring Flower (optional) theme at House-Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge .  It's been a long, cold and snowy winter in Alaska!  I'm certainly ready to see Spring flowers... even with these cute mousies!   I'm joining the current House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge with a sweet mousey image from the Stampendous Spring Mini set. The image was stamped onto a Gelli Print and colored with Tombow Markers.  A retired Stampin' Up! French Script background was stamped with Moss Green Hero Arts ink over the Gelli print.  I finished with a few SU gems and an Anniversary die cut. The House Mouse image was perfect for the mini slimline design.  I have several Anniversaries coming up and this worked perfectly.   I'm joining the current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge with the option of Make it Small.  For my project I started with an image from the House Mouse Designs Spring Mini Clear set and a tag. I began the tag base with my gelli plate and acrylic inks.  I then added a couple of layers with various distress inked stenciling.  The image was stamped directly to the tag with VersaClaire ink and colored with Copics.  The bottom border is washi tape from my stash. I finished the tag with a retired Verve Scripture stamp on white tissue paper.  I trimmed the tissue close to the sentiment and applied it with matte gel.  Fibers from my stash coordinated perfectly for the tassel.   I'm joining the current House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge with a fun card featuring Say Cheese (HMP31) by Stampendous. The image was colored with Tombow Markers and fussy cut.  I chose to include the option of embossing with a camera emboss folder.  The sentiment is from MFT placed over the negative of a MFT sun die that I came across in my scraps.  I think it worked perfectly!   I'm joining the current House Mouse and Friends Challenge with a brightly colored laundry scene!  I recently received the new release from Stampendous called Doing Laundry.  I LOVE this sweet spring scene ... hanging laundry is something that I still do! The image was colored with Alcohol inks. I masked the cloudy sky with a scallop die and sponged with Memento ink.  A sentiment from Memory Box finishes the card.
