Happy Mother's Day - Daffodil Delivery

I'm getting a head start on my Mother's Day cards with this adorable Daffodil Delivery digital image from Di's Digi Designs.  You can find an updated version in Di's Etsy shop HERE . The image was printed onto X-Press It card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  The image and frame panel were die cut with Spellbinders Oval dies then layered onto designer paper from Graphic45.   The Mother's Day sentiment is from Hero Arts and was wet embossed on vellum then adhered.  I finished the A2 size card with coordinating baker's twine. Hero Arts Stay Crafty Challenge: Opposites Attract

The April Stay Crafty Challenge with Hero Arts is Opposites Attract - Opposite Colors or Mirror Image .  I chose to create a project by using opposite colors from the color wheel - Orange and Blue. I started by stamping the Hero Arts Antique Rose (2017) woodblock stamp onto watercolor paper.  I used various mediums to watercolor the image - Tombow marker and distress ink with Stickles applied to the center.  The image was fussy cut and layered onto designer papers from the Basic Grey Marrakech Paper Pad.  Layers of vellum die cuts, orange netting, gems and a sentiment finish the card. Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero Challenge: Those Were the Days

I'm getting started on my Mother's Day card with this mixed media design featuring Hero Arts Protea Flowers set and an older Eucalyptus background stamp.   The floral image was stamped onto a Gelli Print background then die cut.  A vellum panel layers over the Eucalyptus background.  Coral Mulberry paper frames the protea.  Stamped bees and coordinating sentiment are from the same Hero Arts set. Those Were the Days - Our challenge was to choose a past Stay Crafty challenge.  I chose the We Are Family Challenge from November.  Create something that can be given to a family member. Di's Digi Design Challenge - Favorite Colors (2 or 3)

The Fall colors and brisk winds have arrived in my area of the World.  Soon Alaska will see "termination" dust on the mountain tops announcing the soon arrival of winter.  BUT in my craft room I can create with bright colors and summer scenes! I'm sharing this bright summer themed card for Di's current challenge to use favorite colors.  The blue, pink and yellow are so bright and cheerful together!  Summer Kitty Fun is available in Di's new Etsy shop and best of all it's on sale. The image was colored with alcohol markers, fussy cut and layered onto papers from Colorbok and a swirly vellum panel from Stampin' Up!  The fun sentiment is from a business which closed several years ago - From the Heart. Penny Black and More: March - Going round in Circles

I'm joining the March "Going round in Circles" challenge at the Penny Black and More challenge blog .  I started by stenciling clouds onto the base panel then splashing distress ink.   The hedgehog image from the Penny Black Transparent set - Hugs! was colored with Copic Markers and die cut.  A coordinating sentiment was also stamped and die cut.  Both were layered onto black cardstock.  The "bubbles" were die cut using Memory Box Loopy Rings die and vellum.  Small gems finish the card. This set has such cute images!  I will be playing with this again really soon.  Thanks so much for taking a peek at my card. Catch the Bug Saturday Challenge - Naked Stamping (no coloring)

Thanks so much for all of you who participating in the week long Holiday Chaos challenge over at Catch the Bug!  Be sure to check the blog for all of the winners. Today the design team is back with a new weekly challenge - Naked Stamping - No coloring but you can use colored ink.  My shaker card began by printing the Bugaboo Coffee Words Cup image onto vellum.   It's hard to see in the picture, but the top panel was dry embossed with a snowflake folder.   The border was created using Gina K Designs Fancy Foils from Therm O Web.  I love the added sparkle that the foil provides and it is SO easy!   To finish the card I added Gina K Designs Gingham Fancy Ribbon and snowflake brad. If you love coffee, tea or cocoa be sure to check out the Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop going on right now.  LOTS of fun prizes and inspiration. Art Impressions Challenge #130 - Sheer Perfection

Please click HERE if you are joining Meljen's 200th Challenge Blog Hop Celebraton . Thanks for stopping by today. I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Art Impressions has been around for a long time. I just recently rediscovered them while shopping at my LSS (Stamp Attic) one day last  year and came across one of their adorable, humorous stamp sets.  It's all been "down hill" from there! This week's Art Impressions challenge is Sheer Perfection - using vellum with our Art Impressions project. I have a folder full of vellum and knew right  away that it would work perfectly as the  background for the Pedal Pushers girlfriends! For my project, I used a sheet of blue vellum and dry  embossed it with a Stampin' Up cloud folder.  I cut a separate sloping panel of Amuse gingham card stock for the grassy hill. The images was colored with  Copic Markers and fussy cut then applied with dimension tape. ...
