Art Impressions Challenge #126 - Trips Ahoy!

Art Impressions challenge this week is Trips Ahoy - Nautical  or Travel Challenge. I chose to create a card with a travel theme for the challenge using the adorable " Lounging Penguins " from Art Impressions. During the cold month's of Winter, it's nice to think of lounging on the beach with a refreshing adult beverage in your hand!! I started by heat embossing the image with CTMH black  embossing powder.  The image was colored with various Copic Markers and chalk applied for a little "sunburn" effect. The clouds and sand were both masked and sponged with Memento inks.  The sun die is from Lil Inkers and the  speech balloon is from Craft's Meow. Of course, I can't resist entering this card into this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge:  A is for... in my case, "Aloha!" Thanks for stopping by for a closer look! I always enjoy reading your comments.

I chose to create a clean and simple card using the adorable " Clyde Birthday "  digital image. I printed the image and sentiment on Stampin' Up!  Whisper White card stock and used various Copic Markers to color the image.  A charcoal pencil was used for shading.  Glossy accents  were applied to the birthday balloon. I kept the card simple and one layer as it will be mailed to one of the children in our church. Thanks for stopping by for a closer look! I always enjoy reading your comments.

Meljen's Designs Challenge #193 - A Sticky Situation

Welcome to a new Meljen's Design Challenge. This week were are challenging you to  a "Sticky Situation" - use stickers  on your project.  And don't forget to use one  of the fun images from the Meljen's Designs shop . It was a quick decision for me to combine this week's challenge with a fun vacation layout. Miscellaneous letter stickers (from my stash) and a couple of clear stickers were used in keeping with the challenge theme this week. Meljen's has several BEACH themed images so this was super easy to pull together. I printed the " Sand Castle COLOR " directly onto the designer paper.  I printed it again on white card stock and fussy cut the various sections of the castle.  I applied Flower Soft to the sandy edges and Stickles to the shells.  I adhered the pieces with foam tape to give dimension.  Hopefully, you can see that in the  following photos. I printed the " Summer Sun ...

Sassy Cheryl Challenge #198 - Anything Goes

I am back to share another scrapbook layout. While the inspiration  is with me, I'll make the most of it! Today's layout is for this week's Sassy Cheryl " Anything Goes " Challenge and Inspired by Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Ice Inspiration" and Catch the Bug Challenge Blog " Winter Wonderland ". Sorry about the quality of the photo!  I haven't found a really good way to photograph the page except to lay them on the floor which generally causes a glare.  UGH! I recently took advantage Cheryl's sales and bought this adorable snowman for $1.  I knew he would be perfect with my ice sculpture layout. You can find " A Frosty Cup of Cocoa " in Cheryl's online shop. I colored him with Copic Markers and applied a light layer of glitter ink from a Wink of Stella Brush. The hat and scarf were paper pieced. I'm also sharing with the ladies over on the Sassy Ch...

Paper Smooches Sparks - Anything Goes

Paper Smooches Sparks is hosting another "Anything Goes" challenge this week over on the blog. Snowflake eyelet charms by MME, rhinestones, a paw brad, tag and skis by Jolee's finish the page.     The layout is based on a great sketch provide by Sally over on Splitcoast Stampers. Unity Friends with Flair

Happy Friday! I hope everyone survived the holiday week. It was so strange to have a day off of work  in the middle of the week.  I kept thinking  that Thursday was MONDAY!  Yikes~ So, I'm running behind with my post for this week's Unity Friends With Flair project. I'm keeping it short and sweet with this one. I have been dying to ink up Unity's  " Ah Crap " stamp set and decided this was the week. This will probably be going to one of the dry humored men in my family. I couldn't get the inside to photograph very well, but the sentiment reads "different DAY .... same CRAP". Thanks for stopping by for a closer look! Don't forget to leave a comment for the chance to win something fun from Unity Stamp Company.
