Stampin' In Alaska

  I created a fun underwater scene featuring Sweet November Stamps digital images Scuba Sammy , Scuba Sally and Mermaid Reef .  I love how easy it is to resize and make scenes like these with digital stamps. The image was colored with Copic Markers, liquid glaze was applied to the goggles and Stickles were added to the bubbles.  A sunray stencil from My Favorite Things (no longer in business) was used with distress inks for the sunny water effect.  This was my first attempt at this technique and I was pleased with the results. A sentiment from My Favorite Things Best Fins set was stamped directly to the scene panel.   I'm sharing a fun mermaid card for Di's Digi Challenge - Fantasy .  My card features Di's adorable Little Mermaid digital image.  It has been colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut and adhered with a wobbler.  The mermaid has been mounted onto designer paper from Echo Park Under Sea Adventures paper pad.  A coordinating sentiment is from My Favorite Things.   I'm joining the current Art Impressions Challenge - Feeling Blue.  We are using the color blue on our project.  What a better way to use various blues that a water scene!   My card features the Art Impressions Submarine Cubbies set.  This set includes several water creatures, a submarine, sentiments and coordinating die cuts. I used several inky techniques on this card.  I started by ink blending the cloudy sky with a cloud die template and Stormy Sky distress ink.  The various water critters were ink smooshed using Stormy Sky and Blue Print distress inks.  I pulled a Gelli Print from my stash for the "water" panel.  Of course, the submarine was stamped onto gray card stock and die cut then cropped to peek onto the panel.  I finished with a sentiment from My Favorite Things.   The current Hero Arts challenge is By The Sea.  I'm playing along with the May 2021 My Monthly Hero Kit.  It's full of super fun sea critters and coral. I started by stamping the large coral image onto water color paper.  I used a water color wash to get the soft effect then splashed blue on the entire panel.  The fish images were stamped onto various gelli prints and die cut.  I finished with a sentiment from the kit and sequins.   I'm joining the current Gerda Steiner Share Your Designs challenge with a fun underwater scene.  Gerda's clear set Deeply is one of my favorites.  The adorable images and puny sentiments are so fun! The images were colored with Tombow markers and fussy cut.  I used a strip of Gelli Print for the sea and a thin glitter border.  A few Iridescent Bubbles from Sunny Studio finish the card. I would also like to share my design for Gerda Steiner's Guest Designer call this month.  (Wish me Luck!)
