Stampin' In Alaska

  I'm having so much fun as Guest Designer for Art Impressions this month!  Today I'm sharing a clean and simple design featuring Art Impressions 4931 - Road Trip Set .   I began this card by ink blending with Tim Holtz Distress inks - Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch.  Two of the buildings from the set were stamped with Versamark ink and wet embossed with white embossing powder. The group of lady travelers were stamped, colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut then adhered with dimension tape.  The finished panel was layered onto Stampin' Up! Night of Navy card stock.  A few enamel dots and coordinating sentiment finish the card.   The current challenge at Art Impressions is embossing - dry or wet.  My card features a set from the AI Laugh Lines called Never Too Old Laugh Lines .  I love Bonnie's people images... you can almost hear this sassy lady saying "Happy 29th Birthday... from your 110lb friend!"  The image was stamped onto X-press It card stock and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The embossed image was colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut. The image was adhered with foam tape to a dry embossed page using a Cuttlebug numbers emboss folder.  She has been framed with a Stylish Rectangle Trio die cut from Memory Box.  I finished the card simply with a sentiment from the same set.   Misti is hostessing at the House-Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge blog.  She included an option of Water for our challenge projects.  My card features House Mouse Designs Puddle Jumpers.  The image was colored with Tombow Markers and layered onto papers from Pebbles Inc and American Crafts. Blue Stickles were applied to the rain drops with a few raindrop gems for texture.  The cloudy dies are from Memory Box.  I thought the sentiment from My Favorite Things worked perfectly.
