Stampin' In Alaska

The current Art Impressions Challenge is Watercolor and White Pen. My card features the adorable Bird Brains Fainted Chicken and Haybale I started by stamping the chicken on watercolor paper then masking to stamp the haybale.  The image was watercolored with distress inks.   The sentiment was computer generated  and cut with dies from MFT. The finished card size is 6.25 x 3.25.   Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!  

It’s Tuesday so you know what that means  Bugaboo Stamps  usually has some new images for you, however for the next two plus weeks Jodie is taking some much need vacation time.      So each week Jodie is away we will have our New Release post and then a separate Flash Freebie post of 4 hours only. The new image then will be for sale on April 8 when Jodie has returned from her vacation.  I really had fun with this image! I began by printing the image onto X-Press it card stock and coloring with Copic markers. Stampin' Up! Calypso Coral designer paper  was used to paper piece the umbrella and for the base panel.  Although it looks black, the  coordinating cardstock color is Basic Grey. The clouds were cut from felt with an die cut from Memory Box then outlined with silver Stickles. Of course, the card is finished with a machine stitched border, rhinestone and enamel dots. My Favorite Things has recently released their second card kit called Warm & Fuzzy Friends and I immediately  fell in LOVE! Of course, I had to play with  all of the fun stamps, dies, papers and inks for this week's sketch challenge. You can check it out in the MFT shop HERE . The images were water colored with distress inks  then die cut with the coordinating dies. All of the paper layers were included in the kit. The sentiment is from the Retired MFT set PI All Occasion Sentiments. Welcome to a new bi-weekly sketch challenge with Catch the Bug! This week we have a fun sketch for you with lots of possibilities. I can't wait to see what YOU create! My card features the adorable  Button Bear 7 The digital image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils.  Shading was added with a charcoal pencil and blending stub. I found the perfect coordinating papers in my stash with an older Basic Grey  paper pad called Hopscotch. A machine stitched border and pearls finish the card. Happy Saturday! Welcome to a new theme challenge at Catch the Bug. This week we are sharing a photo to inspire your  creativity! My card features a sweet Spring scene from the Bugaboo store Scene it - Happy Spring to Ewe    I went out of my comfort zone a little this week by creating a center step card. The card base was actually pre-cut and scored which I found in my stash. The digital image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and colored with Copic Markers. This week's Art Impressions Challenge is House & Home .   With summer just around the corner, this challenge prompted me to think of my alternate home on the road ..... camping!   It features a fun Art Impressions set sold  exclusively at Michael's stores called His & Hers Camping   (click image to enlarge)    The image was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.  MFT Rolling Hills die was used for the grass and fence. The sun die is from Lil' Inkers and a circle of fun foam was added for dimension. Of course, the sentiment was embossed with Close to My Heart powder.
