This week's Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is Anything Goes. I have been creating Thank You cards for my stash so the Paper Smooches Stamps  " Surf and Turf " set was perfect. The sponged circle was created using the negative of a Spellbinder Nestibilities circle die. The whale image was paper pieced using Echo Park For the Record paper pad. I hope everyone is having a fabulous Saturday! We are having a beautiful, sunny day. When I saw this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge was "Anything Goes".  I knew I wanted to create a scrapbook layout using photos from our recent trip to the island of Maui. I have used  " Surf & Turf " from Paper Smooches Stamps and Polaroid die . The seaweed is from Kim's "Ocean Friends"set. The layout was created by combining stickers, designer papers, stamps and a Hero Arts stencil.  Below is a closeup of the  stenciling process.  It's difficult to see in the photo, but I applied a layer of Liquitex gloss heavy gel for texture. The third week of each month is always a  COOL SHADES  challenge on the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge Blog .  Below is what I came up with this color combo. I just love Kim's sea critters and the characters in " Surf & Turf " are no exception.  (The ocean wave is from Kim's CHF collection called "Ocean Friends".) So, I pulled out the set and got started.  I've recently found a fondness for the Colorbox pigment inks.  I really like the bright, clean look that they give to the Paper Smooches images.  Don't You? Of course, I added some Stickles for a little dimension.  The card base was dry embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The sentiment is from Amuse. Below is this months Designer draft sketches from Paper Smooches. I've used the center sketch for my challenge card. They were all so fun, it was hard to pick just one! I just received my first order from Paper Smooches ! Perfect timing to play along with the July Sparks Challenge. I needed a quick Anniversary card and thought the Surf and Turf set would be perfect. I've paired it with a sentiment (in Kim's own handwriting!) from her Sentiment Sampler. The fish were paper pieced and the bg are from the Echo Park Splash paper stack. Love these sweet fish! The July Designer Draft Sketches are below and I've used the top center for my challenge card. I just received my very first order from Paper Smooches and I'm in LOVE! The quality and unique designs are fabulous. I wouldn't have expected any less from the owner and designer, Kim Hughes!! I'm so glad that Kim has continued her unique designs with her new company Paper Smooches . Be sure and check it out! I've used the adorable Boob Tubes set for this card. The sentiment is from Surf and Turf . The sentiment worked perfectly inside the TV viewing screen. I needed a quick Thank You card and this came together so easily!
