Simon Says Kids Vacation Challenge - Sparkle and/or Shine

My sister and her family visited us the past week.  I got to play "tour guide" and we all had a great time seeing the beautiful Alaskan sights! I planned a few crafty activities for my nieces - age 9 and 11 - to keep them entertained.  I think the entire family actually enjoyed our crafty projects. I'm entering their HoneyBee colored pages in the Simon Says Kids Vacation Challenge.  Ellie (age 9) colored the top image and Olivia (age 11) the second.   I would like to share with the following: Simon Says Kids Vacation Challenge - Sparkle and/or Shine Word Art Wednesday:  Week #501 - 502 Anything Goes

My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch and Slimline challenge - Feeling Beachy

I'm joining the Wednesday Sketch and Slimline Challenges at MFT.  Full size slimline cards are not my usual card, but it was really fun to have a larger canvas for this beach scene. This is my first card featuring Birdie Brown's Penguins in Paradise set.  The images and sentiments are SO cute!  I had a lot of fun coloring them as well.  All of the images on my card are from the set. The water was created with the MFT Wavelines stencil.  I started the sky with my Gelli Plate and distress inks spritzed with water.  Once dry, I used distress inks and the MFT Sunray stencil.  An old, but rediscovered, torn paper technique was used for the sandy beach.  Of course, the images were colored with my favorite Copic Markers. Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #25 Interactive Cards

I'm joining the current Hero Arts Challenge with an ocean themed shaker card.  I started by stamping the coral image from the May 2021 MMH Kit onto a gelli print.  I LOVE the ocean themed images in this kit! I used the Hero Arts Reef Border die with black card stock for the shaker frame.  A fish from the same kit was stamped onto a gelli print and die cut as well.    Blue and green sequins with a few Honey Bee aqua tiny bubbles were used for the shaker.  A coordinating sentiment from the May kit finishes the card.  I would like to share my project with the following: Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #25 Interactive Cards Word Art Wednesday:  #499 - #500 Anything Goes Polkadoodles Craft Challenge: Wk 28 Anything Goes

Beccy's Place July Challenge

I'm joining the July challenge at Beccy's Place featuring the adorable Funny Farm digital set .  Beccy's challenges are always Anything Goes with a fun optional twist and free digital image. I was among the lucky June challenge winners and chose Funny Farm as one of my sets.  These critters make me smile!  I chose to use the pre-colored version for my card.  I also came across a gelli print in my stash that worked for the challenge colors.  It was certainly meant to be! A retired Stampin' Up! chicken wire background stamp was used on the gelli print.  The birthday sentiment comes from the same set and has been layered over a pennant die from Verve Stamps.  I finished with a few enamel dots. Colour Crazy Craft Challenge - Sponsor Angie Blom

Welcome back to a new challenge at Colour Crazy Craft blog !  Our sponsor this week is Angie Blom Digital Designs . My card features the adorable Coolest Chicks Ever digital set.  One of the best features about digital images is sizing.  I LOVE that I can size a digital image to fit any project.  I used three of the chicks from this set and sized them small enough for my slimline card.   The images were colored with Copic Markers.  Glossy accents, rhinestones and Nuvo drops were used on the chicks.  They were layered onto a recycled gift bag and Washi tape was used for the borders. I hope you get a chance to join the challenge.  It's always Anything Goes, but you must include coloring.  Easy Peasy! Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes with Optional Monochome

I'm joining the current Penny Black Saturday Challenge with a mixed media tag bookmark.  I started with a Gelli plate print using packaging material.  The Penny Black Irises 2664L was stamped in blue Versafine ink.  Distress ink was stenciled on a couple of the corners.  The sentiments were created with a Dymo ID and applied.  Lastly, various fibers in blue were added for a tassel. My tag bookmark will be added to the ministry box for Christ Brings Hope Cancer Ministry .  The Christian Card Makers FB group is focusing on cards and bookmarks for Teens this month.   I would like to share my tag with the following: Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes with Optional Monochome Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:  Anything Goes Word Art Wednesday:  Week #497 - 498 Anything Goes    Challenge 7 - Anything Goes at WL2C Mixed Media craft challenge

Di's Digi Challenge - Summertime

I'm joining the current Summertime challenge at Di's Digi Challenge.  I colored Di's cute Butterfly Puppy image for a tag bookmark.    The image was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.  The tag was started with a gelli plate print.  An MFT sunray stencil was applied with distress ink.  I applied the images onto the tag with a Washi Tape border.  I finished the tag with a retired Scripture stamp from Verve Stamps.    I would like to share my project with the following: Di's Digi Challenge - Summertime Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:  Anything Goes Word Art Wednesday:  Week #497 - 498 Anything Goes    Challenge 7 - Anything Goes at WL2C Mixed Media craft challenge Colour Crazy Craft Challenge:  Week 26 Anything Goes

Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #24 For the Guys & AAA Cards Game #193

I'm sharing a one-layer clean and simple design with the current Hero Arts challenge - For the Guys .  I've used images from the May 2021 My Monthly Hero Kit.  I love this kit and hope to play with even more this week!  The fun birthday sentiment is from one of the May add-on sets called Sea You.  The waves were created with Hero Arts Sea and Sky stencil using distress inks. The CAS design and sketch was inspired by the current AAA Cards challenge.  I stamped the fish image onto a scrap of gelli print and die cut. A fun and quick way to add a little color and the "optional" critter!
