Mo's Digital Pencil - Challenge #102 Furry Friends

This week Iulia has challenged us to focus on our Furry Friends over on Mo's Challenge Blog . I fell in love with this sweet image immediately and knew it would be perfect for this week's challenge. Since we have a black and brown lab, this sweet image by Mo was a must have! This image is called "Buds (girl)" and you can pick it up HERE in Mo's Shop. The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and baby oil. Some Copic markers were also used. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Show Me #44 - Procrastination!

This week's Show Me for the Sassy Cheryl blog is a project which I have procrastinated on until the very last minute! The project I have started on my desk is my brother's wedding card. Have you ever gotten a design idea in your head and felt as though you couldn't replicate it? That's me with this wedding card! Ugh! The wedding is next weekend so I have to get over the creative slump and push on!! I promise to share a photo of the finished card another week. There are a few finished projects in the photo as well. A couple of Thanksgiving cards and a challenge card. I have been creating this week, but avoiding the important project! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. I hope you can do something creative this week!

Mo's Digital Pencil - Challenge #101 Autumn Colors

This week's challenge for the Mo's Digital challenge blog is Autumn Colors . One of my all time favorite color combo! I haven't used this sweet image for awhile and thought it would be perfect as a Thanksgiving card for one of my animal loving friends. This Mo Manning image is called "Co-Exist" and you can pick it up HERE at Mo's online store. The image was colored with Copic Markers and the edges were sponged with SU More Mustard ink. I added nutmeg Flowersoft to the bird's nest and a couple of Prima Autumn leaves under the sentiment. Thanks for stopping by to take a look! I hope you get a chance to do something creative this week.

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me

I thought I would share some photos of our recent outdoor adventure for this week's "Show Me" over on Cheryl's Blog. If you've never played along, it's really fun and easy. Just grab your camera and share some photos with all of the Nosey Sassettes and you might win a FREE Sassy Cheryl digital image! Check out the details HERE . This last weekend we took a trip north of Anchorage and rode our 4-wheelers out about 10 miles to this beautiful lake. What a great surprise to find this pair of swan on the lake along with tons of ducks! You may have to click the photo to enlarge because I had to zoom A LOT to get this pair. The second photo was from the side of a mountain looking out over the valley. What you are seeing is actually glacial runoff from the Knik Glacier. The autumn colors were fantastic! We had a great ride. The pups had fun running and chasing birds, rabbits and each other. We couldn't have asked for better weather! Thanks for stopping by...

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #82 - Flower Power

This week's Sassy Cheryl Challenge is "Flower Power". I've used a floral image, paper and flower accents for the challenge. The image was colored with Copic Markers and the background sponged with Memento ink and a scallop template to replicate clouds. This is also for this week's CPS card sketch challenge #236. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Mo's Digital Pencil - Challenge #100 Let's Celebrate!

The ladies over on Mo's Digital Challenge blog are celebrating their 100th challenge this week. I decided that this sweet image called "Angelina's Balloons" would be perfect for a birthday celebration card. She was so much fun to color and I love the balloon static in her hair! It just makes me smile. Thanks for stopping by to take a look! I hope you get a chance to be creative this week.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #81 - Show us Something Good to Eat

This week's challenge over on the Sassy Cheryl Challenge Blog is "Show Us Something Good to Eat". I haven't colored this image for awhile and thought it fit the challenge perfectly! You can find "Teddy Bear Tea Party" Here in Cheryl's online store if you are interested. It was so fun to color! Who doesn't remember having tea parties as a child with their stuffed animals? Thanks for stopping by to take a look! I hope you get a chance to be creative this week.

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #41

This week I'm sharing goodies I picked up from my recent trip. The bingo cards (love them) and stack of vintage patterns are just a couple of the items I bought at flea markets. I LOVE to hunt through a good flea market! Most of the papers were purchased on sale at Scrapbook Generation which is near my home town. Other pieces are from Hobby Lobby and Big Lots. Neither of which have stores in Alaska. It's easy to play along with the Show Me challenge! Grab your camera and check out the details HERE . Hope you have a chance to be creative this week!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #80

Judy's challenge for us this week is " Wrap it, bag it, box it " and I decided to make a wrap for a skein of yarn with the "Little Knitter" image. She has been combined with a Free sentiment image from Create with TLC that you can find HERE. The image has been colored with Copic Markers and oval Spellbinder die cuts used for the image and base. Below is a close up of the image and sentiment. Fun challenge! Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Mo's Digital Pencil - Challenge #98

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #79 Birthday

Why, oh why do I have to experience Computer Problems when I am in a hurry to post?! It has taken me two days to get this little card posted. ARGH! At least I am running early with my creation this week!! Sassy Judy has asked us to use our Sassy Cheryl digis and create " A Birthday for Anyone ". Well, my uncle's birthday is this week and I thought "Father's Day Snooze" would be perfect! The image has been colored with Prismacolor pencils and baby oil (rather than odorless mineral spirits) with some Copic markers. The cloudy background was sponged using a scalloped oval template, memento ink and a sponge dauber. The tree "tops" were made using the Cat's Pajama's Cloud Border Cutups and Stampin' Up! Cardstock - Wild Wasabi and Garden Green. The card base is Stampin' Up! Cardstock Brocade Blue and Night of Navy. Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Smooches August Sparks Challenge

Kim Hughes is sponsoring another challenge on her Paper Smooches blog. The August challenge is an inspiration photo (below). This was really a tough one for me, but I'm happy with my results! I really focused on the colors and textures from the inspiration photo and came up with the card below using Paper Smooches "Boob Tube" and "Sentiment Sampler" stamp sets. I LOVE the clear quality of these clear polymer stamps. The unique and fun designs are SO Kim Hughes! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #40

I thought I would try and post early this week again!! So, I'm sharing a couple of projects in progress on my desk this week. One is for my Sassy Cheryl's challenge card. The other is for this month's Sparks Challenge over on the Paper Smooches blog . You will also see several of the yummy Paper Smooches sets that I received a couple of weeks ago. If you are a traditional stamper and like fun and fresh designs, check out Kim Hughes! I am a huge fan and have been following Kim since her designing days with Cornish Heritage Farms. She has recently started her own clear polymer stamp company and has some really fun designs each month. Thanks for stopping by! I will be posting my Sassy Cheryl challenge card in a later post.
