Impression Obsession Challenge - Autumn Colors

We are certainly seeing Fall colors here in Alaska!  The current Impression Obsession Challenge to use Autumn Colors is perfect.  My card features a retired IO set - CL156 Smell the Coffee.  Be sure to check Impression Obsession for all of their fun stamps.  Don't forget to check the digital stamps as well! My card base was created with a Gelli plate using acrylic inks and various textures. I stamped the IO coffee stamp with my Misit a couple of times with VersaClaire ink.  The cups were colored with Tombow markers.  I used a white pen to highlight. A ribbon and sentiment from the set finish the card. Your Next Stamp Challenge #148 and AAA Card Challenge #174

Fall is certainly in the air here in Alaska!  Our leaves have turned and we've seen several light frosts.  Time to harvest our garden for the year! I'm joining the current Fall Festival Fun at Your Next Stamp with this clean and simple design.  My card features the adorable Scarf Weather set.   The image was colored with Copic markers and stamped using "One Third" of the panel.  I'm combining my card with the current AAA Cards Case challenge. I sponged a cloudy background with Memento inks and a scallop die. Art Impressions Challenge - Handmade Holidays

Happy Friday!  I hope everyone has a chance to get crafty this weekend. I'm sharing a fun Thanksgiving card with the current Handmade Holidays challenge at Art Impressions.  My card features their fun Full of Thanks set .  The turkey in disguise was stamped onto water color paper and colored with Tombow Markers.  Various papers from the Carta Bella Autumn paper pad were used to create the card sketch provided by Mojo Monday.  A coordinating sentiment from the set and a few enamel dots finish the card. My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #508

I am playing along with the week's MFT sketch with the Better Together card kit.  I LOVE the car die that came with this kit.  It's so fun and easy to assemble.  The critters were stamped onto water color paper, colored with Tombow markers and die cut. The base panel is a Hero Arts cling 6x6 background stamp called Street Map.  I picked up on a recent trip to Tuesday Morning with this little car die in mind. Di's Digi Design Challenge - Winged and/or Tailed Things

I'm joining the current challenge at Di's Digi Challenge blog with this adorable group of critters.  I was a recent challenge winner and this is one of the sweet images that I chose called Safari Animals . The image was colored with Copic Markers.  The background was water colored with distress ink.  The digital Word Art Scripture is a freebie from Word Art Wednesday .   Karen Murray provides a free Scripture each week.   Be sure to check it out and play along.  The challenge is always Anything Goes and using the free Scripture is not required. Stay Crafty With Hero Challenge: #14 Critters

I pulled out the June 2020 MMH kit to play along with the current critters challenge.  I absolutely LOVE this kit!  Of course, I had to purchase this kit since it's perfect for Alaska! I started with a distress ink base then embossed the borealis cling stamp.  The emboss resist technique is perfect for this background.  I used the Hero Arts blue reactive ink on the edges.   The critters (whale & eagle) were embossed and die cut.  To finish the scene, I die cut the light house which came with the set.  It is difficult to see in the photo, but I applied vellum to the lighthouse to represent light rays. House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #324 Anything Goes + Option of Birds

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!  I'm sharing a birthday card for the current House-Mouse and Friends challenge with the option of a bird. I recently had the opportunity to purchase this sweet wood mounted House-Mouse Designs stamped called Flower Parade.  As you can see below, I chose to ink only a portion of the stamp to fit the sketch.  The image was colored with Copic Markers and the sky was sponged with Memento ink and a scalloped die. The sketch was provided by the Christian Cardmakers Facebook Group.  I enjoy sketch challenges and this one was fun.  I took the liberty of moving the sentiment panel to the top since it didn't work along the bottom.  :)   I would like to share my card with the following: House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge:  #324 Anything Goes + Option of Birds  The Cutie Pie Challenge:  #151 Birthday Party Word Art Wednesday: Anything Goes Week #456 - 457   Digi Choosday Challenge: ...

Power Poppy Creative Confetti Challenge - Coloring on Colored Cardstock

I'm starting my Thanksgiving cards early this year with this amazing digital image from Power Poppy called Season's Seatings.  I used this week's challenge prompt by printing the image onto Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake card stock and coloring with Prismacolor pencils. I hope to experiment with other colored cardstock soon.  I really like the effect on kraft!  I kept the card fairly simple with layers and a sentiment from Unity Stamp Company. Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge #295 Anything "Mo" Goes

I'm playing along with the current Anything Goes challenge over at Mo's challenge blog.  I've merged two of Mo's digital images to create this scene.  Thinking of You and Beach Elements 1 . The image was colored with Copic Markers.  The sky was sponged with Memento ink and a scallop die to create the clouds.  Memento ink was lightly sponged for the ocean and sand.  Designer papers are from Bo Bunny Key Lime paper pad. This will be going to a co-worker who is retiring soon.  I love this sweet image and it works perfectly for a going away card. Your Next Stamp Challenge: #147 Keeping it Clean and Simple

I'm joining the current Clean and Simple challenge at YNS featuring a retired silhouette image called Home Sweet Home.  The Scripture stamp is from Sweet 'n Sassy's Friendship is a Blessing set. I started by blending a few distress inks then spritzing with water.  The images were stamped using my Misti and VersaClaire black ink.  This card will be donated to a nursing home in my hometown.  The nurses requested birthday cards with Scripture to give to the residents on their birthdays. Art Impressions Challenge - To Die For

I'm joining the current Art Impressions challenge to use dies.  I bought their fun Tool Shed Tryfold stamp and die set during a sale. It's perfect for a masculine birthday. The images were colored with Copic Markers and die cut.  I found the brick wall embossed panel in my stash and paired it with a cloudy pattern paper. Gelli Plate Inspiration

After seeing all of the fun projects on blogland, I recently purchased a Gelli Plate at Michael's.  I probably didn't need another crafty toy, but I had a coupon and several bottles of acrylic ink in my stash.  Anyway, I took a few minutes to play last night.   This background was a happy accident while inking a new stencil.  I stamped the image from Stampin' Up! Beautiful You and Scripture from Sweet 'n Sassy.  A ribbon from my stash finishes the card. Sharing a few of the pages from my Gelli Plate.  I picked a couple of leaves while on a walk yesterday.  I love the detail that the Gelli Plate transfer gives.  These will be great for Fall cards! AAA Cards: CAS Game #173 Sketch + Optional Twist At The Movies

I'm sharing another quick Clean and Simple card tonight for the current AAA Cards Challenge.  The current twist is Movies.  This had me stumped until I remembered having several wonderful Elvis images in my stash from Cornish Heritage Farms.  This image and sentiment is from their Elvis Faces I set (retired). The image was stamped with VersaClaire black ink and my Misti.  I drew in the diagonal line and stamped the sentiment. Love Me Tender was one of Elvis' first movies - Not my favorite.  My favorite was Blue Hawaii... the sets, songs, storyline and clothing.  If you are an Elvis fan I would love to know your favorite of his movies! Di's Digi Challenge - For the Girls

We were able to get away for a weekend camping trip over Labor Day.  Of course, I packed my Copic Markers and a few images to color.  This is from Di's Digi called Koala.  I think it was a freebie that Di gave away this winter.  It's a cutie and the first time I've colored it. The image was colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut and layered onto a distress ink background.  You can also (barely) see a vellum circle behind her.  A few sequins and Scripture from Verve Stamps (retired) finish the card. House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #323

I'm joining the current House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge with this sweet House Mouse Designs image called Stamp a Kiss.  This is an older wood mounted version.   The image was colored with Copic Markers and die cut with a Wonky Stitched rectangle die.  Designer papers are from JoAnn's. My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #505

After a weekend of camping, I'm sneaking in a last minute entry for this week's MFT sketch.  It was "love at first sight" with the newest MFT Better Together Card kit .  The adorable car die and sweet critters were impossible to ignore.   The critters were stamped onto watercolor paper, colored with Tombow markers and die cut.  Coordinating papers from the kit were used to create this week's sketch.  I would like to share my card with the following: My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch:  Challenge #505   Simon Says Stamp Monday:  Use Your Favorite Stamp   Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:  Stamp It   2 Crafty Critter Crazies:  September 1 Challenge #42 Word Art Wednesday:  Anything Goes Week #454 - #455
