My Favorite Things Sketch and Color Challenges

I'm joining the sketch and color challenges at MFT with a mixed media birthday card.  I pulled out an older/retired MFT set from 2013 called LJD Pretty Poppies.   The solid poppy images were stamped in Brick Red distress ink on kraft card stock then a black pen used the trace the outline. The border word stamp was used repeatedly on the panel then spritzed with brown walnut stain. I would like to share my card with the following: MFT Sketch Challenge #681 MFT Color Challenge #228 Polkadoodles Craft Challenge:  Week 2 Anything Goes Gem of a Craft Challenge:  Week 2 Anything Goes

My Favorite Things Weekly Sketch Challenge #467

I'm joining the current sketch challenge at My Favorite Things with a clean and simple design.  My card features a retired MFT set called Pretty Poppies.  Perfect for this simple birthday card! I started by making my own circle template and sponged the circles with Tim Holtz distress ink.  The floral images were then stamped using my Misti.  A few sequins and MFT birthday die-namic finishes the card.   I would like to share my card with the following: My Favorite Things Weekly Sketch:  Challenge #467 Word Art Wednesday:  Anything Goes #416- #417   QKR Stampede Challenge:  #376 Anything Goes

My Favorite Things Camp Create - Day 2 Remarkable Resist

I'm back with Day 2 of Camp Create with My Favorite Things.  Counselor Barbara demonstrated a great emboss resist technique for Day 2.  My card started by stamping poppies from MFT's retired Pretty Poppies set and embossing with white powder.  I water colored the panel with distress inks then applied ink directly around the poppies. I recently ordered the MFT Prayers die-namic and it worked perfectly with this set and sentiment.
