Stampin' In Alaska

  I'm joining the April Anything Goes challenge at Penny Black Saturday Challenge.  I recently ordered this fabulous scene stamp called Calm Waters .   It's a large stamp in red rubber that stamps beautifully and large enough to stand alone. The simple slimline design is finished with a birthday sentiment from Hero Arts.   I'm joining the current House-Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge with a monochromatic Get Well card.  My card features the adorable House Mouse Designs Get Well Soon cling stamp from Stampendous.  The image was stamped with my Misti onto water color paper.  Various Tombow markers were used to water color the image.  Flowers and rhinestones were added from my stash.  Heart designer paper is from the BoBunny Modern Miss paper pad.   I'm playing along with a couple of Hero Arts challenges tonight featuring their May Kit of the Month, Water Flow slimline stencil and Sea You set PLUS a fun reef die.   I started the card base with sponging various blue distress inks using the Water Flow Slimline Stencil.  The reef die was cut from Hero Arts cardstock.  The fish and starfish were stamped onto a scrap of watercolor paper which has been splattered with blue inks. I LOVE how this turned out!  What's more fun than enjoying the ocean in the Sun!   I'm joining the current Monochromatic challenge at Di's Digi.  I was inspired by Di's adorable blog inspiration to "be brave" and use shades of pink on my project.  This sweet digi was a recent freebie from Di through Kit and Clowder called Party Animal. I had so much fun coloring this image with various alcohol markers in shades of pink.  The cloudy sky was masked and sponged with distress inks.  Pink gingham from my scrap pile was used to paper piece the balloons.  A few enamel dots and birthday sentiment from Stampin' Up finish the 4.25 square card.
