Art Impressions Challenge #328 Home is Where the Heart Is

When I saw the current AI challenge I knew that I would use their His and Hers Campers set.  Hubby and I enjoy "glamping" during the summer months in Alaska. I started by stamping and coloring the trailer image from the set and fussy cutting.  Designer papers from Carta Bella Summer Market were layered.  I finished the card with a few enamel dots and a coordinating sentiment from the set. I would like to share my card with the following: Art Impressions Challenge #328 Home is Where the Heart Is Allsorts Challenge:  #678 Anything But a Birthday   Word Art Wednesday:  #545 - 546 Anything Goes

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #342

I'm sharing a quick camping scene using the current MFT sketch challenge and the adorable MFT stamp set Warm & Fuzzy Friends . I was lucky enough to take advantage of the Warm & Fuzzy Card Kit from MFT. A fabulous kit! The images were stamped onto watercolor paper with MFT Hot Fudge Hybrid ink  and cut with the coordinating die cuts.   I  then colored with Tombow markers and used a blender pen. I really like the finished effect!! Thanks for taking the time to stop by! Happy 11th Birthday to My Favorite Things and it's founder Kim van der Sanden!! I'm also sharing with the following: My Favorite Things:  Sketch Challenge #342 Crafting from the Heart:  Anything Goes #168 Word Art Wednesday:  Anything Goes #292 - 293 Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: We're Seeing Stars Penny Black and More Challenge:  July - For the Boys

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #32

Well, it's Thursday again and that means another week of sharing our current projects with Sassy Cheryl. If you haven't participated, it's really easy and you can find all of the details HERE . This week I'm sharing my weekend stamping space! My husband decided to head about 2 hours south to Soldotna, Alaska for fishing and camping this last weekend. I took along some printed digital images, Prismacolor pencils, Koh-i-noor pencils and baby oil to do some coloring out by the campfire. Below is my "Workspace" by the campfire with my "helper" Gingersnap! Here is a photo of my completed projects at about 10:00 pm. The weather was great and I had so much fun sitting outside with the natural light to aid my coloring of these images. I'm generally a one-image-at-a-time kind of gal. So, I was pretty surprised when I got all of these images colored and got home to start creating! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my workspace this week! ...

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #31

Wow, it's Thursday again and time for another Sassy Show Me for those of us who like to peek at each other's workspace and projects for the week!! Check out the details over on Sassy Cheryl's blog , grab your camera and snap a photo of what's going on this week. Below is a photo of my workspace this evening. I have a couple of completed projects, as well as, two of the images I recently bought from Cheryl with my gift certificate. (Bless her heart, she was so patient with me this week) Anyway, I got them printed out this morning before work and would believe that I had printer problems?! Of course, when you are trying to accomplish something quickly before going to work. It's hard to see from the small photo, but the two bottom images printed in blue. Why blue?! I did select the color and I didn't get a message the the black ink cartridge was empty. If you are interested in a short tutorial on the twisted easel card you can check my previous blog post HE...
