Stampin' In Alaska

  Okay, I must admit that the current Art Impressions challenge was, well, a little challenging!  I was stumped on "Magical Creatures" until I remember this little garden gnome in the Gotta Garden set 5000 .  Perfect! I stamped the image three times on X-Press It card stock, colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut.  A few random polka dots were added so that the center gnome would stand out.  "Gnome-one like you!"   A stencil from Tim Holtz was used for the circle background.  I finished the clean and simple design with a few enamel dots on the Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake card stock base.   I'm playing along with a couple of Hero Arts challenges tonight featuring their May Kit of the Month, Water Flow slimline stencil and Sea You set PLUS a fun reef die.   I started the card base with sponging various blue distress inks using the Water Flow Slimline Stencil.  The reef die was cut from Hero Arts cardstock.  The fish and starfish were stamped onto a scrap of watercolor paper which has been splattered with blue inks. I LOVE how this turned out!  What's more fun than enjoying the ocean in the Sun! I didn't get a chance to play with this adorable coffee cup digital from Stamplorations during the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop.  I saw so many fabulous projects during the hop! The image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock, fussy cut and colored with alcohol markers.  I sponged a Hero Arts stencil lightly with Memento ink for the base panel. Sharing a quick card for the sketch and color challenges hosted by My Favorite Things.  I pulled out a favorite MFT set - The Whole Herd to create a fun birthday card. The scene was created by sponging Memento ink and the MFT Sun Ray stencil.  Memento Pear Tart ink was sponged along the bottom for grass.  I stamped the cow onto water color paper, colored and blended with Tombow markers then die cut.  A coordinating sentiment and enamel dots finish the card. I have missed playing along with Unity's Friends with Flair  the past couple of weeks. I needed a little fun time and decided this bright altered tag  was perfect for my mood tonight. It will probably end up as an embellishment on a scrapbook page in the near future! The Sun Ray stencil is from My Favorite Things.
