Sweet November Stamps - Happy Mother's Day

Sweet November Stamps has the sweetest new release full of woodland critters and flowers.  My card features their new Spring Woodland Background and Spring Woodland Alice and Bird images. If you have never tried digital stamps these are a must have!  They are sold with both PNG and JPG versions for creating scenes or stand alone.  Digital images are easy to store and can be resized to fit your project. My scene was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils then die cut with Spellbinder Nested Circle Dies.  The image was layered onto designer papers from Pebbles called Family Ties.  A wood mount sentiment from Inkadinkado, paper flowers and twine complete the card. I would like to share my card with the following: Allsorts Challenge:  #846 It's Spring Time We Love Stamping Challenge:  April Spring Stamping Sensations:  April Challenge Inspired by Nature PIP Challenge #2614 Anything Goes

The image was printed onto X-Press It card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  The image and frame panel were die cut with Spellbinders Oval dies then layered onto designer paper from Graphic45.   The Mother's Day sentiment is from Hero Arts and was wet embossed on vellum then adhered.  I finished the A2 size card with coordinating baker's twine. STAMPloarations March Challenge - Anything Goes

After a few years of hiatus, Shery Russ is back in full action with new products and fabulous inspiration!  She generously included a sneak peek sheet of the new Faded Botanicals collage pack in my recent order.   The papers are so beautiful that I couldn't cover it up!  I ended up die cutting the 5.75 x 8 sheet of paper into 6 smaller panels.  They've been layered onto SU Basic Grey cardstock then strategically placed on a 5.5 square card base to showcase each image. ***CHECK BACK*** The last two panels are in progress and will be shared later in the week. The Mother's Day sentiment and silver pearls are both Hampton Art Studio.  I pulled out some coordinating papers from Basic Grey for the base panel. Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero Challenge: Those Were the Days

I'm getting started on my Mother's Day card with this mixed media design featuring Hero Arts Protea Flowers set and an older Eucalyptus background stamp.   The floral image was stamped onto a Gelli Print background then die cut.  A vellum panel layers over the Eucalyptus background.  Coral Mulberry paper frames the protea.  Stamped bees and coordinating sentiment are from the same Hero Arts set. Those Were the Days - Our challenge was to choose a past Stay Crafty challenge.  I chose the We Are Family Challenge from November.  Create something that can be given to a family member. Happy Mother's Day with Hero Arts

I'm getting started on my Mother's Day card with this mixed media design featuring Hero Arts Protea Flowers set and an older Eucalyptus background stamp. I used an older (but effective) emboss resist technique for the base panel.  Hero Arts inks were blended over the embossing.  A piece of netting from my stash, gems, ribbon and a few sprig dies finish the card.  Of course, the protea was embossed and die cut simply. Beccy's Place December Digital Release - Stems in a Teacup Set

I'm sharing a group of cards featuring a December digital release from Beccy's Place called Stems in a Teacup.  The set comes with both pre-colored and B&W images.   The first card in my post features a pre-colored image.  I colored the others with alcohol markers and applied Wink of Stella for a subtle shimmer. All three image panels were mounted onto the same designer papers.  The lovely floral images are so versatile and I enjoyed creating varying designs with the same papers.  Raise your hand if you have a huge stash of beautiful designer papers!  This was a great self-challenge! Be sure to stop by Beccy's Place online store to see all of the new products.  Beccy also hosts a fun monthly challenge in which to use (and win) Beccy's sweet images.  You can check out the challenge details on the Beccy's Place Blog .  I would like to share my projects with the following: PIP Challenge #2349 Anything Goes Polkadoodles Craft Ch...

Di's Digi Challenge - Button, Brads, and Bows

I'm joining the current Buttons, Brads and Bows challenge at Di's Digi Challenge Blog. I have to admit that I was so struck by Nancee's card this week that I had to purchase Di's Stitched For You digital image .  One of my favorite things about digital images is the instant download.  I purchased, printed, colored and created this card so quickly! The image was printed onto X-Press It card stock.  It has been colored with Prismacolor pencils and Copic Markers.  The image panel was die cut with a stitched square from Gina Marie Designs. I used a template for the spool shaped card, but it could have been easily cut freehand.  Below is the template that I found through a Google search.  It was provided by Sweetly Scrapped. A seam tape ribbon, button and sentiment from Hero Arts finishes the card.  The shaped card was also wrapped with the seam tape. Mixed Media Altered Junk Envelopes

I recently came across a how-to video on Pinterest demonstrating altered junk envelopes.  I'm sorry I did not save the video and can not give credit to the artist. The final photo in my post shows the envelope that was used for the project.  I trimmed the left end of the envelope about 2 inches then clipped diagonally to achieve the fold you see in the photo. I chose to use various stencils on the front of my envelope and finished with a Mother's Day sentiment.  The back of the envelope (third picture) was covered with a stenciled gelli print on tissue paper. I recently came across a project tip showing crafty items you can create with clothing pattern tissue.  This worked perfectly for the tag which will be inserted into my junk envelope.  You can see in the first photo how the tag appears through the window.  The second photo shows the tag and all of the fun bits along with a vintage photo of my husband and his family. This was such a fun project a...

Polkadoodles Craft Challenge: Week 11 AG or Mother's Day

I'm starting on my Mother's Day cards early this year.  I send a card to all of the Mom's in my family so it takes a little time, but I enjoy creating them.  Since they are all mailed, I have included a flower seed packet just for fun. Today I'm using Polkadoodles adorable Bella Bear Mornings Coffee digital stamp .   I loved the soft colors of the pre-colored image so I printed, fussy cut and layered it with paper scraps from American Crafts Dear Lizzy Neapolitan paper pad. The pastel color combo was inspired by this week's challenge at Allsorts.
