Hero Arts Stay Crafty Challenge: Opposites Attract

The April Stay Crafty Challenge with Hero Arts is Opposites Attract - Opposite Colors or Mirror Image .  I chose to create a project by using opposite colors from the color wheel - Orange and Blue. I started by stamping the Hero Arts Antique Rose (2017) woodblock stamp onto watercolor paper.  I used various mediums to watercolor the image - Tombow marker and distress ink with Stickles applied to the center.  The image was fussy cut and layered onto designer papers from the Basic Grey Marrakech Paper Pad.  Layers of vellum die cuts, orange netting, gems and a sentiment finish the card. I used several inky techniques on this card.  I started by ink blending the cloudy sky with a cloud die template and Stormy Sky distress ink.  The various water critters were ink smooshed using Stormy Sky and Blue Print distress inks.  I pulled a Gelli Print from my stash for the "water" panel.  Of course, the submarine was stamped onto gray card stock and die cut then cropped to peek onto the panel.  I finished with a sentiment from My Favorite Things.
