Stampin' In Alaska

I'm joining the current Power Poppy Challege featuring their beautiful Peonies Digital Stamp set .  Hurry, it's on sale now for $2.49! I followed Julie's tutorial HERE which shows how to apply a quick splash of color by stippling inks.  Love this technique! Following Julie's example, I started by stippling Memento Rose Bud ink in the centers of the flowers.  I then came back with Angel Pink Memento ink.  The leaves were stippled with Bamboo Leaves.  I finished the panel by flicking the Bamboo Leaves ink mixed with a little water using a toothbrush. A machine stitched border, sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy, designer paper from Pebbles Garden Party and brads finish the card.  My card was also inspired by Julie's Rock Your Mojo challenge.  I LOVE peonies... the smell and huge blooms remind me of my childhood.  My mom and grandmothers all had peony bushes.  I have about a dozen bushes around my yard and they are currently in...

Happy Friday!  I'm joining the current Power Poppy Challenge with a Small and Sassy Birthday card.  My card features the digital Peonies stamp se t. I printed the image onto water color paper with the no-line version.  The image was colored and blended with Tombow markers.  A new sentiment die was layered for a quick and simple design.  I used the largest die of the Spellbinders Lacey Squares set for the card base.  The final card size is about 3.5 square.  A few sequins finish the card.
