CPS Anniversary Celebration Day 5 and Paper Smooches Sparks

The Card Positioning System blog is celebrating their 5th Anniversary. Laura picked the the following sketch for Day 5: Here is my take on the sketch: I've used a digital stamp from Paper Smooches that you can find HERE . I pulled inspiration from the Sparks Challenge to use the striped designer paper and felt clouds. You can find the Sparks Challenge Inspiration photo HERE . The sentiment is from Paper Smooches clear art stamp set "Sentiment Sampler". Great inspiration from both challenges! I used designer papers from October Afternoon "Fly a Kite" and "Modern Homemaker" paper pads. Base card stock is Stampin' Up! Kraft. Thanks for stopping by to take a look! This card is being submitted to the following challenges: CPS Anniversary Challenge Day 5 Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge
This time around, Kim found the following inspiration photo for the Sparks Challenge . There is tons of inspiration to be found with this word art photo. I decided to use the word art and rainbow colors to make the following CAS Birthday card. We have a young man in our church with a birthday coming up soon. I think this will be perfect! I'm really enjoying the Sparks challenges. It really makes me stretch my creativity and step outside my comfort zone sometimes. The "Sentiment Sampler" from Paper Smooches was used for this Birthday card. Adirondack inks and baker's twine was also used. Thanks for stopping by to take a look! I always enjoy reading your comments.

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

Kim has found another very fun inspiration photo on Pinterest for the Sparks Challenge. I chose to take inspiration from the colors - red, brown, tan, white and green. This little snowman and tree are from the Kim Hughes Collection for Cornish Heritage Farms called "Winter Trees". There are so many fun images in this set! Everything has been paper pieced and Stickles were added to the "snow". Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! I really enjoy reading your comments.
For this month's Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge I was inspired by the color combo. I incorporated teal, lime and grey into my card below. You can check out the challenge and the inspiration photo HERE . I have used a Cornish Heritage Farms set by Kim Hughes called "Winter Trees" for this card. I think the snowman is SO cute and the ice cycles make a perfect border. It's pretty icy and snowy in my part of the U.S. so this was perfect! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!!

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

This month's Sparks Challenge was to create something inspired by the photo above. Cool Photo! I focused on the colors, woodgrain and texture of the photo. Below is what I came up with using Paper Smooches "Boob Tube" and "Sentiment Sampler". The quirky face was made with various small images included with the "Boob Tube" set. This was really fun! Thanks for stopping by to take a look! Be sure to check out all of the challenges and products on the Sparks Challenge blog .

Paper Smooches August Sparks Challenge

Kim Hughes is sponsoring another challenge on her Paper Smooches blog. The August challenge is an inspiration photo (below). This was really a tough one for me, but I'm happy with my results! I really focused on the colors and textures from the inspiration photo and came up with the card below using Paper Smooches "Boob Tube" and "Sentiment Sampler" stamp sets. I LOVE the clear quality of these clear polymer stamps. The unique and fun designs are SO Kim Hughes! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

July Sparks Challenge

Below is this months Designer draft sketches from Paper Smooches. I've used the center sketch for my challenge card. They were all so fun, it was hard to pick just one! I just received my first order from Paper Smooches ! Perfect timing to play along with the July Sparks Challenge. I needed a quick Anniversary card and thought the Surf and Turf set would be perfect. I've paired it with a sentiment (in Kim's own handwriting!) from her Sentiment Sampler. The fish were paper pieced and the bg are from the Echo Park Splash paper stack. Love these sweet fish! I know I will be using this set again and again! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! I hope you can be creative today!

July Sparks Challenge

The July Designer Draft Sketches are below and I've used the top center for my challenge card. I just received my very first order from Paper Smooches and I'm in LOVE! The quality and unique designs are fabulous. I wouldn't have expected any less from the owner and designer, Kim Hughes!! I'm so glad that Kim has continued her unique designs with her new company Paper Smooches . Be sure and check it out! I've used the adorable Boob Tubes set for this card. The sentiment is from Surf and Turf . The sentiment worked perfectly inside the TV viewing screen. I needed a quick Thank You card and this came together so easily! The chocolate baker's twine was tied around my order from Kim! What a great way to recycle! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! I hope you have a chance to be creative today!
