Stampin' In Alaska

Jodie has done it again this week with an adorable new image called Clyde Be Mine.  Perfect for Valentines or Anniversary projects.  This set include both the adorable digital image and coordinating sentiment. My project started by printing the image onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and coloring with Copic markers.  Charcoal pencil was then applied and blended for shading.  Coordinating papers and ribbon from my stash complete the clean and simple design. This card will be going into my stack for the Cards From the Heart Card Drive sponsored by Winter Sims and her family.  They are collecting Valentine Cards for distribution to patients at local hospitals, foster homes and a nursing home.   I'm also sharing with Cards for A Cause over at Splitcoast Stampers.  They are sponsoring Winter's card drive for the month of January.  I'm sharing my card with the following: QKR Stampede Challenge:  #28...

  Welcome to a new weekly challenge at Catch the Bug.  This week we have a fun photo challenge for your inspiration. My card started with the adorable Rainy Day Bears Take Me Away digital image.  It was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock.  The Scripture is freebie from Word Art Wednesday . The umbrella was paper pieced with papers from Colorbok.  The image was colored with Copic markers Y06, YG17 and Y35.  The grey cloudy sky was masked and sponged with Adirondack Slate dye ink.  The clean and simple design was finished with Stickles on the raindrops and a baker's twine bow. I'm joining the monthly Viva La Verve sketch with one of their new digital sets called All My Love .  This set is currently on sale through January 31.  Be sure to grab it this month! My card started by printing the coffee cup image and sentiment from the digital set.  The cup was colored with Copic Markers and layered onto wax thread and a pearl strand.  The designer papers are from my stash. I'm sharing a card for the current Unity Be Inspired Challenge - Birthday with a Kraft Base.  My card started with the adorable owl image from Hugs, Kisses & Birthday Wishes set stamped onto kraft cardstock.  The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils. I kept the design clean and simple to focus on the fun, colorful image.  It was layered onto polka dot paper from Colorbok.  A fun sentiment from the same set was stamped at the bottom. Happy Monday!  I hope everyone had a great weekend and maybe got a little crafty.   Gerda Steiner hosts a monthly progressive challenge with a new adorable image.  This month we were provided with this sweet Panda in Love digital image.  If you are new to the challenge but want to join the fun you can purchase the image here .  Create something fun using the image, post it on the challenge blog and next month you will receive the challenge image free.  How fun is that?? My card started by printing the digital image onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White Cardstock and coloring with Spectrum Noir and Copic Markers.  The current sketch from My Favorite Things was used as well. The base panel was created using the new Valentine Foil Mates from Gina K.  I LOVE this new line and such a fun technique!  It's so simple as well.  I simply layered a trimmed piece of deco foil onto the Foil Mate print of my choice.  The layers...
