Catch the Bug - Stella Says Sketch #607

Welcome to a new bi-weekly sketch with Catch the Bug.  This week is a fun sketch with lots of possibilities.  You aren't required to use Bugaboo images, but we love it when you do! My card features the adorable Monkey Love - Balloon image .  I started with a partial stenciled base with distress ink.  The panels are both card stock and washi tape.  The image was colored with Copic Markers and Stickles were applied to the heart accents. I was so excited to see the announcement that Paper Smooches was re-starting their monthly challenges!  I pulled out my PS stash and gave a couple of my favorite sets some inky love tonight. Catch the Bug New Release - Thank You Tulip

The Bugaboo Design Team is sharing a little inspiration today featuring Thank You Tulip.  Be sure to check the Bugaboo shop for this lovely image. My card started by printing the digital image onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock.  The image was colored with Copic markers.  The card base panel was created with Tim Holtz distress inks and the "smoosh" technique onto water color paper.    A fun technique and each panel is unique.  I used the following colors:  Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Salty Ocean.  The card was finished with a few lavender dew drops. Gerda Steiner - March Progressive Challenge

I'm joining the March Progressive Challenge at Gerda Steiner with this adorable digital image - Cat in Bookshelf .  I printed the image onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  The image was perfect for this sweet little bookmark. I laminated the bookmark, added a small SU doily and various ribbon.  The sentiment is from Create with TLC. I can't wait to see what Gerda has up her sleeve for April's image! Stella Says Sketch #606 - Dear Sister

Today the Bugaboo Design Team is sharing a new sketch challenge.  The challenge is open for two weeks so you have plenty of time to play along! My card started by printing the adorable Bugaboo Brats Best Friends image onto Stampin' Up Whisper White cardstock.  The image was colored with Copic Markers, die cut and the background was sponged with Memento ink. A doily was sprayed with Dylusions ink spray and layered under the main image.   The designer paper is from American Crafts.  Bakers twine, a heart charm and sentiment finish the card.  I'm sharing my card with the following: Little Red Wagon:  Challenge #437 Focus on Family   Word Art Wednesday:  Anything Goes #236 - 237 Crafty Friends Challenge:  #79 For a Special Lady  

Catch the Bug Challenge - March Bugaboo BINGO

  Today begins a new challenge at Catch the Bug.  The design team has created projects inspired by the March Bugaboo Bingo board.  We hope you will join us this week! My card started by printing the digital Tulip Water Can image onto Stampin' Up Whisper White card stock then coloring with Copic markers.  The image was die cut with Cuttlebug Classic Rectangles and Scallop Rectangle dies.  It was then layered onto coordinating designer paper from Basic Grey's Ambrosia Paper Pad. The card was finished with rhinestones and a die cut sentiment from black craft foam.  I used BINGO choices Bugaboo Image, Flowers and Stripes for my card. Di's Digi Challenge - Lots of Green

A couple of weeks ago I was the lucky winner of four adorable digital images from Di's Digi Stamps.  The company is new to me, but I do love digital images and these are adorable. My card features the adorable Ruff You B&W image.  It was printed onto Stampin' Up Whisper White card stock and colored with Copic Markers and Spectrum Noir.  The current Di's Digi challenge is Lots Of Green.  I pulled some green gingham and polka dot papers from my stash then added green rhinestones.  I recently came across several wood veneer sentiments in my stash and included the Hello sentiment. I had a lot of fun creating with this sweet pup.  I can't wait to play with the other digital images from Di that I won! Art Impressions Challenge #227 - Watercolor Wonders

I'm sharing a card for the current Water Color Wonders challenge at Art Impressions.  My card features the adorable Doggy Kisses set.  The dog image was watercolored with Tim Holtz Distress inks.  Watercolor was also brushed onto the image panel.  The base panel was stamped with images from the same set. Verve March Inspiration Challenge and Viva la Verve Sketch

I'm so excited that Verve is bringing back their monthly inspiration challenge starting this month and it's all about Green.  I have also included the current sketch from Viva la Verve into my project.   Of course, I'm featuring the adorable digital set by Verve called Lucky Day .  Be sure to check out Verve's 30% off sale as well. So, green is a color that I use very often.  But I used this as a challenge and sifted through my paper stash until I found these coordinating papers in the Lost & Found Rosy paper pad.  A little watercolor splash was added to the sentiment and Stickles on both images.  The card with finished with a machine stitched border and ribbon from Stampin' Up. Graciellie Design March Release - Happy Moments

I'm stopping in to share a fun new digital stamp release from Graciellie Design this month called Happy Moments .  This set includes the lovely floral jar vase image and four coordinating sentiments. My project started by printing the image onto Copic marker paper  then it was colored with Copic Markers.  I used a uni ball white gel pen for the center of the flowers.  The image was fussy cut and Modge Podge dimensional magic was applied to the jar.  I allowed the Modge Podge to dry for several hours.  The bottle recommends at least 3 hours. I printed the happy birthday sentiment from the set and layered both images onto designer papers from Simple Stories Homespun paper pad.  A paper doily and dyed seam tape ribbon finish the card. Graciellie Design March Release - God's Grace

I'm so excited to share this project with you featuring a new digital set from Graciellie Design called God's Grace.  You will find this digital set at Gracie's Etsy shop .  My card started by printing the floral image and one of the sentiments onto Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake cardstock.   The floral image was colored with Prismcolor pencils.  I love how the color pencil pops on the kraft cardstock!  Of course, I partially fussy cut the floral image then trimmed the panel to fit onto my 5.5 x 4.25 inch card base. I pulled some coordinating designer paper from my stash for layering.  The clean and simple card was finished with a yummy matching ribbon bow from Really Reasonable Ribbon .
