Stampin' In Alaska

  Lotsa Layers!!  I'm joining the Penny Black Saturday Challenge with the optional Lots of Layers.   This past week I've been inspired to use up some of my designer paper stash.  Where quilters collect fabric, I seem to collect pretty papers!  Some were on sale, some were for a specific project and others... well, they were just to pretty to pass up. My Anniversary card began with this adorable hedgehog image from Penny Black's Hugs! Transparent set.  The image was heat embossed and colored with Copic Markers, die cut and layered onto several designer papers.  I recently came across an older Gina K Designs kit in my stash which included this paper pack called Wisteria Lane. I finished the card with a gingham ribbon and die cut hearts which were on my desk from other projects.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.   I'm playing along with the Penny Black Saturday Challenge featuring a couple of Penny Black sets - Panoramic 40-814 and Hugs! 30-020. I started by stamping the scene using Panoramic and my Misti.  The card base was created using the ink smooshing technique and water color paper.  The sweet balloon (transport option) and mouse image was stamped, colored and fussy cut then added to the scene.  I really like the scene building images in the PB Panoramic set.  I will be creating with it again soon! I kept the design simple and will add the appropriate sentiment when a card is needed.   This month is all about Love, Hugs, Hearts and Friendship!  I'm joining PBSC with a sweet mousey couple from Penny Black's transparent set Hugs! #30-020 . The image was colored with Copic Markers.  I created a heart stencil using using a Recollections cutting plate.  The hearts were sponged with Memento Red Rose ink. A couple of small sentiments and rhinestones finish the card. I'm joining the March "Going round in Circles" challenge at the Penny Black and More challenge blog .  I started by stenciling clouds onto the base panel then splashing distress ink.   The hedgehog image from the Penny Black Transparent set - Hugs! was colored with Copic Markers and die cut.  A coordinating sentiment was also stamped and die cut.  Both were layered onto black cardstock.  The "bubbles" were die cut using Memory Box Loopy Rings die and vellum.  Small gems finish the card. This set has such cute images!  I will be playing with this again really soon.  Thanks so much for taking a peek at my card.
