Gerda Steiner Designs New Release - Melon Muncher

I'm very honored and excited to be Guest Designing for Gerda Steiner Designs this month. I was given the opportunity to create with their newest 2x3 clear set - Melon Muncher .  I love the GSD critters and this one is just the cutest!  Love the the little cheeks and adorable face. My design started with a stenciled background using a Sun Ray stencil from My Favorite Things.  The guinea pig was stamped and masked before inking the stencil.  A few hand drawn grass clumps and gems finish the scene. Please stop by the Gerda Steiner Designs Blog for additional photos and a supply list. I would like to share my card with the following: Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:  Summer PIP 2330 Summer Theme Challenge   Paper Funday #56 Anything Goes with a Twist of Great Outdoors

Art Impressions Challenge: Bloom Where You're Planted

I'm joining the current Art Impressions Challenge to include flowers, trees, plants, etc.  My bookmark features the AI Garden Wagon Mini Set . I began by stamping the wagon and flowers on white card stock.  A puffy cloud background was masked and sponged with Memento inks.  The panel scene and base were die cut with Spellbinder Long Classic Rectangle dies.  A punch from my stash was used for the tab and denim ribbon adhered.  A Scripture from Sweet 'n Sassy's In the Psalms set finishes the project. My Favorite Things Slimline Challenge - December Mini Slimline

I'm joining the current Slimline challenge at MFT which is Anything Goes with a mini slimline size.  My finished card is 3x6.  I enjoy this size and the adorable Happy Pumpkin Season set worked perfectly for this size. The images were stamped then masked to stamp the cobble street road from On Solid Ground .  In hindsight, the brick might have been a better choice but I like the look of the cobblestones!   With the images masked, I used Memento ink to blend the sky.  I removed the mask and colored the images with Copic Markers.  A sentiment from the set finishes the scene. My cloudy sky was created with a die cut template and distress inks. The image was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut then layered over a fence and grass die from Sweet 'n Sassy. I'm joining the current Art Impressions challenge - Sparkle & Shine - with a fun ocean themed card.  I received this adorable dolphin freebie with a recent order.  It was stamped onto water color paper, blended with Tombow markers and fussy cut. I started the base panel with SU Banana card stock and used various distress inks to sponge the sunray stencil (MFT).  The ocean scene was created with glitter paper and MFT Ocean Motion die.  The coordinating sentiment is from the MFT Best Fins stamp set. Fingers crossed that AI is "teasing" us with the ocean critters!  I'm hoping there is more to come with the next release!! Gerda Steiner and AAA Cards CAS #168 One Corner + Optional Masking

Have you seen the new Chicken Scratch clear set from Gerda Steiner?  Adorable!  I love all farm animals and this set was a must.  I have combined the chicken and sentiment with a retired chicken wire background from Stampin' Up! I first stamped the chicken then masked the image.  The chicken wire stamp was applied over the mask with Tim Holtz Barn Door distress ink.  The chicken was colored with both Tombow and Copic Markers.   A fun clean and simple design (with the optional twist) for the current AAA Cards challenge. A Blog Named Hero - June Challenge Old & New

This adorable Hero Arts Garden Fancy Die has been on my wish list for awhile.  I received it in a recent order and couldn't wait to create.  I also used card stock from the Hero Hues sampler pack in the same order.  Great quality and it embossed/die cut perfectly! I masked and sponged the sky with distress inks.  An older Hero Arts wood mounted Precious Thank You was stamped in the garden die window.  I kept the card simple by finishing with a gingham ribbon from Gina K. The images were colored and die cut.  A wood mounted Hero Arts stamp A2460 Precious Thank You finishes the card. I'm joining the current Die Cuts and/or Pnnches challenge at Di's Digi Challenge.  I used the adorable "Puppy" digital image to create a fun scene with various dies.   I started by printing and coloring the image with Copic Markers.  The sky was sponged with Blue Danube Memento ink using a cloud die cut stencil.   The scene was built using the a sun die from Lil' Inker Designs, Fence and Grass dies are from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and the cloud die is from My Favorite Things.  For a little added texture, the cloud was cut from white felt. Have you heard the news?  The Mo Manning Digital Stamp Challenges are back!  Their first challenge is Anything Mo Goes with an optional Spring theme. My card features a sweet digital image and sentiment from Mo's shop called In the Spring .  I kept my card design simple to focus on the sweet little gardener girl.  The scene was colored with Alcohol markers. I used a scallop die to mask and sponge the cloudy sky. Art Impressions Challenge #252 - Outdoor Scenes

Inspiration came to me yesterday for the current Art Impressions challenge.  I couldn't resist pulling out the adorable Ole Buck set to create a fun outdoor birthday card. If you are like me and you have hunters in your family this set is perfect.  This set comes with great sentiments and hunting themed images.  I will definitely be using this set again soon! The main image was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.  The AI Fronts-N-Backs fence (UMP1499) was stamped onto kraft and fussy cut.  Finally, the card base was sponged with a scalloped die and Memento ink to create the clouds.  A little deer from the set was stamped behind the fence and colored as well!
