Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero: Challenge - By the Sea

The current Hero Arts challenge is By The Sea.  I'm playing along with the May 2021 My Monthly Hero Kit.  It's full of super fun sea critters and coral. I started by stamping the large coral image onto water color paper.  I used a water color wash to get the soft effect then splashed blue on the entire panel.  The fish images were stamped onto various gelli prints and die cut.  I finished with a sentiment from the kit and sequins. I would like to share my card with the following: Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero: Challenge - By the Sea PIP Challenge:  #2226 Anything Goes Polkadoodles Craft Challenge:  Week 26 Anything Goes   Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge:  June Anything Goes The Paper Shelter Challenge:  #518 Under the Sea

Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #25 Interactive Cards

I'm joining the current Hero Arts Challenge with an ocean themed shaker card.  I started by stamping the coral image from the May 2021 MMH Kit onto a gelli print.  I LOVE the ocean themed images in this kit! I used the Hero Arts Reef Border die with black card stock for the shaker frame.  A fish from the same kit was stamped onto a gelli print and die cut as well.    Blue and green sequins with a few Honey Bee aqua tiny bubbles were used for the shaker.  A coordinating sentiment from the May kit finishes the card.  I would like to share my project with the following: Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #25 Interactive Cards Word Art Wednesday:  #499 - #500 Anything Goes Polkadoodles Craft Challenge: Wk 28 Anything Goes

Art Impressions Challenge - Under the Sea

I'm joining the current AI challenge - Under the Sea - with this sweet turtle image.  This was a 2020 Freebie with purchase.  I was lucky enough to receive it from another AI fan who had a duplicate!  Isn't he SO cute?! For my mini slimline design, I started the scene by using distress inks on my gelli plate with spritzed water.  The "rays" were stenciled with distress ink.  I used an older technique, shared by Janet Axtman , for the "sand" using torn card stock .  I found the coral and seaweed stickers in my stash.   I attached an actual tiny star fish from my stash as well.  I'm really pleased with how this turned out.  It will go into my stash for that special "someone". Art Impressions Sparkle & Shine Challenge #287

I'm joining the current Art Impressions challenge - Sparkle & Shine - with a fun ocean themed card.  I received this adorable dolphin freebie with a recent order.  It was stamped onto water color paper, blended with Tombow markers and fussy cut. I started the base panel with SU Banana card stock and used various distress inks to sponge the sunray stencil (MFT).  The ocean scene was created with glitter paper and MFT Ocean Motion die.  The coordinating sentiment is from the MFT Best Fins stamp set. Fingers crossed that AI is "teasing" us with the ocean critters!  I'm hoping there is more to come with the next release!!
