Happy Mother's Day - Daffodil Delivery

I'm getting a head start on my Mother's Day cards with this adorable Daffodil Delivery digital image from Di's Digi Designs.  You can find an updated version in Di's Etsy shop HERE . The image was printed onto X-Press It card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  The image and frame panel were die cut with Spellbinders Oval dies then layered onto designer paper from Graphic45.   The Mother's Day sentiment is from Hero Arts and was wet embossed on vellum then adhered.  I finished the A2 size card with coordinating baker's twine. Hero Arts Stay Crafty Challenge: Opposites Attract

The April Stay Crafty Challenge with Hero Arts is Opposites Attract - Opposite Colors or Mirror Image .  I chose to create a project by using opposite colors from the color wheel - Orange and Blue. I started by stamping the Hero Arts Antique Rose (2017) woodblock stamp onto watercolor paper.  I used various mediums to watercolor the image - Tombow marker and distress ink with Stickles applied to the center.  The image was fussy cut and layered onto designer papers from the Basic Grey Marrakech Paper Pad.  Layers of vellum die cuts, orange netting, gems and a sentiment finish the card. Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero Challenge: Those Were the Days

I'm getting started on my Mother's Day card with this mixed media design featuring Hero Arts Protea Flowers set and an older Eucalyptus background stamp.   The floral image was stamped onto a Gelli Print background then die cut.  A vellum panel layers over the Eucalyptus background.  Coral Mulberry paper frames the protea.  Stamped bees and coordinating sentiment are from the same Hero Arts set. Those Were the Days - Our challenge was to choose a past Stay Crafty challenge.  I chose the We Are Family Challenge from November.  Create something that can be given to a family member. Happy Mother's Day with Hero Arts

I'm getting started on my Mother's Day card with this mixed media design featuring Hero Arts Protea Flowers set and an older Eucalyptus background stamp. I used an older (but effective) emboss resist technique for the base panel.  Hero Arts inks were blended over the embossing.  A piece of netting from my stash, gems, ribbon and a few sprig dies finish the card.  Of course, the protea was embossed and die cut simply. Di's Digi Challenge - Button, Brads, and Bows

I'm joining the current Buttons, Brads and Bows challenge at Di's Digi Challenge Blog. I have to admit that I was so struck by Nancee's card this week that I had to purchase Di's Stitched For You digital image .  One of my favorite things about digital images is the instant download.  I purchased, printed, colored and created this card so quickly! The image was printed onto X-Press It card stock.  It has been colored with Prismacolor pencils and Copic Markers.  The image panel was die cut with a stitched square from Gina Marie Designs. I used a template for the spool shaped card, but it could have been easily cut freehand.  Below is the template that I found through a Google search.  It was provided by Sweetly Scrapped. A seam tape ribbon, button and sentiment from Hero Arts finishes the card.  The shaped card was also wrapped with the seam tape. Stay Crafty With a Blog Named Hero: February Challenge - Animal Crackers

I'm joining the current Hero Arts Challenge with the March 2017 Monthly Hero Kit.  I recently order the A2 Pop Up card die from Echo Park.  This is my first card and it was really fun to create. The floral border is an older die from Memory Box called Spring Border.  I stamped and die cut the rabbit and duck from the Hero Arts Kit.  They were colored with Copic Markers and adhered to the floral border.   The box will lay flat for mailing in an A2 envelope.  It is a little thick with all of the designer paper panels.   This will be fun to experiment using different stamps and dies!  Thanks for stopping by to take a peek. Word Art Wednesday Week #581 - 582

It's time for a new Anything Goes Challenge at Word Art Wednesday .  This week Karen's free Scripture word art is John 13:34.   You aren't required to use the word art to participate, but feel free to right click and save for a future project.  We would love to see what you create! My project started with the January 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit.  I decided to mimic a chalk board with the large sign die and this week's Scripture.  The bicycle and balloons are also included in the kit. Our Sponsor for this challenge is Top Flight Stamps .  They are generously giving the random winner $25 gift voucher to spend in the store.  We really appreciate our Sponsors!

Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero - January Challenge: Love

The current Hero Arts Challenge is the theme of Love.  I pulled out the January 2019 My Monthly Hero Kit for my entry.  There are some great scene building stamps and dies in this kit.  Love it! My card started with a mini slim card base using designer papers from Memory Box.  The bicycle stamp and balloons were wet embossed and colored with Copic Markers and die cut.  An older sentiment stamp from my stash was used with Spellbinder heart dies.  A few rhinestones were added to finish the card. Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero Challenge - Shake It Up!

I'm joining the current challenge at Hero Arts featuring their December Kit of the Month .  I received my kit this week and couldn't wait to play! The background stamp was inked with distress inks and spritzed with water before stamping using a Misti.  I really like how it turned out!  I used an A2 Shaker Pocket from Tonic Studio filled with Sprinkles Embellishments from Stampin' Up! The space themed images were stamped onto water color paper then colored with Tombow markers. I finished the card with a sentiment from the set.   I'm joining the current Hero Arts challenge with a tropical scene featuring Waterfall Heroscape stamp set. This was my first time using this set.  It was SO easy and I love the results.  The tropical waterfall scene reminds me of the Hawaiian islands.  Hubby and I are looking forward to a trip to Kauai soon.  This scene really makes me anxious for our trip! Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge - It's Hip to be Square

I'm joining the current challenge at Hero Arts with a fun mixed media mini slimline design card.   I was going through my Hero Arts products and found this 2002 wood mounted stamp - H2496 Evening Dress - that worked perfectly.   The base panel was inked with a sponge then square dies were used to trace the square pattern.  Finally, black acrylic ink was splattered and gems adhered. I heat embossed, colored and fussy cut the vintage lady image.  It was popped up with dimension tape.  The birthday sentiment is from Crafty Secrets (retired). Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero: Challenge - By the Sea

The current Hero Arts challenge is By The Sea.  I'm playing along with the May 2021 My Monthly Hero Kit.  It's full of super fun sea critters and coral. I started by stamping the large coral image onto water color paper.  I used a water color wash to get the soft effect then splashed blue on the entire panel.  The fish images were stamped onto various gelli prints and die cut.  I finished with a sentiment from the kit and sequins.   This is a special Anniversary card going to my cousin and his wife.  They will be celebrating their 5th Wedding Anniversary and just returned from Cozumel, Mexico where they honeymooned.   My clean and simple design features a lovely beach scene from Stampendous called Beachfront Boat N234.  It was stamped and heat embossed on water color paper.  I used distress ink, Tombow markers and Hero Arts Reactive inks to water color the scene.  A sentiment from Hero Arts and Stickles on the water completes the card.
