  Hello!  I hope everyone had a great weekend and got a few minutes to get crafty.   I couldn't resist joining the current challenge at House Mouse & Friends .  Their current challenge theme option is Fruit.  I love this older wood mount House-Mouse Designs stamp called Sleeping with Strawberries (1999 Stampa Rosa, Inc). I have been practicing with my water coloring skills this week!  So, the image was stamped onto water color paper then water colored with the Altenew Watercolor Essential 12 Pan set .  The image was die cut then layered onto retired designer papers from Stampin' Up!   My layout inspiration was provided by a Mojo Monday sketch.  I really do miss Julee's sketchy inspiration.  If you are interested you can check out her library of sketches HERE .   I loved the color combo for the June Inspiration challenge at Altenew .  I've used an image from their Color It Up! Free Coloring Page . The digital page was printed onto X-Press It card stock and colored with alcohol markers.  I kept the design very simple with a black and white border and green twine.  Easy Peasy!   I needed an Anniversary card for my cousin and his wife.  I pulled out this Stampin' Up! set called Feels Like Home from their 2021 Sale-A-bration.   The image was stamped with my Misti then loosely water colored with Altenew pan watercolors.  I finished by splattering green distress ink.  A few sequins and sentiment from Stampin' Up! Express Yourself hostess set finish the card.   I very recently discovered Altenew and enjoy their lovely floral images.  They generously offer a couple of free coloring pages that can be found HERE .  My project features the free carnation color page. The Altenew April Inspiration colors worked perfectly with the carnations.  I began by coloring with a Crimson Red Prismacolor pencil and high lighted with Raspberry.  Three different green alcohol ink markers were used for the stems/leaves.  I kept the card CAS and finished with a few enamel dots and a red panel to provide a pop of color. My card features a floral set from Altenew called Paint-A-Flower: Spider Mums .  The floral image is huge and the detail is fabulous.  I began stamping the image onto watercolor paper with versamark then heat embossing in white.  I then used the ink smooshing technique followed by watercolor of the flowers. I finished the card simply with a black mat, sentiment and a few Stampin' Up! rhinestones.  This is not my typical style, but I will definitely try this again.
