Di's Digi Design Challenge - Harvest

I'm joining the current Harvest themed challenge at Di's with her sweet Pumpkin Wendy digital image.  She's perfect for Fall! I started by printing the image and layering gingham over her dress.  I printed the image again then fussy cut the dress image.  It's fun to paper piece sometimes and I love the sweet gingham! The image was then colored with Copic markers, fussy cut and layered onto papers from Carta Bella Autumn paper pad.  The die cuts and seam tape ribbon are from Verve Stamps. If you follow my blog, you know that I LOVE a good sketch!  Well, I couldn't resist using the current Mojo Monday sketch for this card.  Julee Tilman offers a new sketch which includes the panel dimensions.  It's great inspiration! Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #15 Fall

I'm playing along with the Hero Arts Challenge featuring their layered pumpkin patch kit.  This was so fun to create and perfect for Fall themed projects. This kit is still available in the shop at $34.99 it's a steal!  This was my first time to play with the kit, but I'm looking forward to using this for my Thanksgiving cards this year. I've included the Hero Arts recipe for the layers.  It's a perfect jumpstart for using this kit.  Now, I can play with a variety of colors. Art Impressions Challenge - Scenic Route

I'm joining the current Art Impressions challenge with a little woodland hunting scene -- hunting for cake!   I need a card for my Dad's upcoming 75th birthday.  He is a deer hunter so I pulled out the fabulous Ole Buck set .  This set is full of fun outdoors images and coordinating sentiments. A birch tree die from SugarPea Designs was used on the base panel.  I sponged the sky using Memento ink and a scallop die.  The hunters were colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut and adhered with foam tape for dimension.  If you look closely, you can see a buck hiding in the trees! Of course, I finished with a fun sentiment and binocular image from the same set. Sugar Pea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #72

I'm joining the current Mix it Up challenge at Sugar Pea designs.  I chose the color option for my card and hoped the first color swatch is gray(?). Have you seen all of the fabulous inspiration using the new Hey Fall set and Birch Forest Cutaway die?  I knew that this set would be perfect for so many occasions including Thanksgiving.   I started by sponging Grape Jelly Memento ink with a scallop die for the cloudy sky.  I used Stampin' Up! Smoky Slate with the Birch Forest cutaway for the next layer.  The bear was die cut and colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended.  The sentiment and various images are all from the Hey Fall set. My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #509

I'm joining this week's MFT sketch challenge with a fun masculine woodsy card.  I pulled out my favorite MFT card kit - Warm & Fuzzy Friends to create a quick masculine birthday card. The critters were stamped onto water color paper and colored with Tombow markers.  They were layered onto a birch tree die cut and woodgrain dry embossed base panel.  A birthday sentiment from MFT finishes the card.   I'm sharing a masculine birthday card over at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge.  My card features Mo's digital Fishing image .  It's perfect for all of the fishermen in my family! The image was colored with Copic markers and sponged with Memento inks for the sky.  The sunburst die panel was in my stash.  It was created with Tim Holtz alcohol inks and Yupo paper.  A fun technique that provides a unique background each time.  A sentiment from My Favorite Things and dewdrops finish the card. Di's Digi Design Challenge - Make It Masculine

I was a recent winner over at Di's challenge blog.  She has SO many cute images in her shop!  This little guy on the scooter caught my eye called Scootin' Buddy . I needed a little color therapy last night so I pulled out my Prismacolor pencils and baby oil for blending.  It went rather quickly and he was so fun to color!  A sponged cloudy background and out-of-the box die cutting finish this simple card. The Scripture word art is from Word Art Wednesday .  Karen Murray graciously provides this freebie each week.  Be sure to stop over and check it out!
