Paper Smooches SPARKS - Anything Goes Challenge

This week's Paper Smooches SPARKS "Anything Goes" challenge was perfect timing for me as I needed a last minute  birthday card for one of the young men in my church. I created this card using the following Paper Smooches Stamps and dies: Sentiment Sampler Polaroid die Additional stamps were used from "Bear Hugs" The Kim Hughes Collection for Cornish Heritage Farms  and Wood Grain Backgrounder from CHF. The fun bear image was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut. The Polaroid frame die was cut from card stock stamped with the Wood Grain.  The card base was distressed with Rich Cocoa Memento ink and a dauber. The sketch was provided by Sketch~N~Scrap I am submitting this card for the following challenges: Paper Smooches SPARKS: Anything Goes Simon Says Monday Challenge: D is for Distress Sketch~N~Scrap: Card Sketch #21 Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! Paper Smooches SPARKS: Picture Perfect Challenge

This week's Paper Smooches Sparks challenge is  an Inspirational Photo. I focused on the fabulous colors and put this fun card together this evening using a  variety of fun Paper Smooches products:   Cloud Card Template, " We Totally Click " and a free digi sun that you can find HERE on the Paper Smooches blog. This week's inspiration photo: I am also entering this card in Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Anything Goes . Thanks for stopping by for a closer look! I always enjoy reading your comments.

Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge - Anything Goes

This week's Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is "Anything Goes". I need a break from all of the snowy, Winter weather and decided to create a fun ocean scene using "Ocean Friends" from the Kim Hughes Collection. Thanks for stopping by for a closer look! I always enjoy reading your comments.

Mo's Digital Challenge #137 - Weather Related

Elaine has asked us to create something "weather-related" with our Mo Manning digital images.  I know that most of the lower 48 is having hot temperatures which are perfect for this sweet image.  Alaska, not so much, but it's early yet in our summer! This is what I came up with using " Lacie ".  Lacie and her ice cream cone were colored with Copic markers.  The tree was created with a Spellbinder Nestibilities scalloped circle die.  The grass was cut using my new Memory Box Grassland Border.  Of course, I added a little bling to Lacie's sun glasses and Stickles to her ice cream cone. Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look!

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

The third week of each month is always a  COOL SHADES  challenge on the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge Blog .  Below is what I came up with this color combo. I just love Kim's sea critters and the characters in " Surf & Turf " are no exception.  (The ocean wave is from Kim's CHF collection called "Ocean Friends".) So, I pulled out the set and got started.  I've recently found a fondness for the Colorbox pigment inks.  I really like the bright, clean look that they give to the Paper Smooches images.  Don't You? Of course, I added some Stickles for a little dimension.  The card base was dry embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The sentiment is from Amuse. Thanks for stopping by to take a look.  I always enjoy reading your comments!

Paper Smooches SPARKS

Kim has selected another inspiration photo from Pinterest for the SPARKS challenge. There is a lot of inspiration to chose from here! I decided to use the color scheme (pink, yellow, green & white) for my challenge card below: It's always nice to have an extra Birthday card handy! I used a couple of Kim's sets for this sweet Birthday card. The cupcake image is from Cornish Heritage Farms Kim Hughes Collection "Baked with Love" and the sentiment is from Kim's Paper Smooches set "Sentiment Sampler". The cupcakes were colored with Copic Markers then Stickles were applied in yellow, eucalyptus and cotton candy. Finally, the "cherry" was applied using Robin's Nest dew drops. Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

Kim has found another very fun inspiration photo on Pinterest for the Sparks Challenge. I chose to take inspiration from the colors - red, brown, tan, white and green. This little snowman and tree are from the Kim Hughes Collection for Cornish Heritage Farms called "Winter Trees". There are so many fun images in this set! Everything has been paper pieced and Stickles were added to the "snow". Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! I really enjoy reading your comments.
For this month's Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge I was inspired by the color combo. I incorporated teal, lime and grey into my card below. You can check out the challenge and the inspiration photo HERE . I have used a Cornish Heritage Farms set by Kim Hughes called "Winter Trees" for this card. I think the snowman is SO cute and the ice cycles make a perfect border. It's pretty icy and snowy in my part of the U.S. so this was perfect! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!!

Paper Smooches August Sparks Challenge

Kim Hughes is sponsoring another challenge on her Paper Smooches blog. The August challenge is an inspiration photo (below). This was really a tough one for me, but I'm happy with my results! I really focused on the colors and textures from the inspiration photo and came up with the card below using Paper Smooches "Boob Tube" and "Sentiment Sampler" stamp sets. I LOVE the clear quality of these clear polymer stamps. The unique and fun designs are SO Kim Hughes! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!

July Sparks Challenge

The July Designer Draft Sketches are below and I've used the top center for my challenge card. I just received my very first order from Paper Smooches and I'm in LOVE! The quality and unique designs are fabulous. I wouldn't have expected any less from the owner and designer, Kim Hughes!! I'm so glad that Kim has continued her unique designs with her new company Paper Smooches . Be sure and check it out! I've used the adorable Boob Tubes set for this card. The sentiment is from Surf and Turf . The sentiment worked perfectly inside the TV viewing screen. I needed a quick Thank You card and this came together so easily! The chocolate baker's twine was tied around my order from Kim! What a great way to recycle! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look! I hope you have a chance to be creative today!
