Unity Friends With Flair - Part 2

Happy Friday, again! I'm back to share a second card with this week's Unity Friends with Flair linky party . I was so excited to be the Friends with Flair project winner a couple of weeks ago. I received a wonderful assortment  of single stamps in the mail. This project is using two of  those images. I gotta be honest... I LOVE how this little card turned out.  AND that doesn't happen very often! Of course, I paper pieced the lion image and  added a couple of die cuts to complete the scene. I have used this month's card sketch provided by Unity's {be Inspired} Challenge Don't forget to leave a comment for your chance at randomly winning a grab bag of 25 Unity rubber stamps. Thanks for stopping by!    Be sure to check my updated Stamps For Sale page. (US shipping only)

Unity Friends with Flair

Wow, it seems like this week flew by! It's Friday already and that means Unity Friends with Flair . I am sharing another adorable Phyllis Harris image that I colored while camping this summer. This is one of the first sets I bought  from Unity called Brandy and Emma: Constant Companions I found the sweet background paper in my stash from Pink Paislee Switchboard paper line. The clean and simple design was inspired  by the current Unity {be Inspired} Challenge sketch.

Unity Friends with Flair and Simon Says

Happy Friday! I have been visiting family for the past couple of Friday's and missed posting with Unity's fun linky party. Friends With Flair Thanksgiving is such an overlooked Holiday. Maybe because it's hard to for us to give thanks? Maybe because it isn't a big money maker for retailers? I don't know, but...... The Pilgrims gave thanks to the Lord for their bounty. The Bible has multitudes of references to the giving of Thanks. Below is one of my favorites:   Psalms 100:4   "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving , and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name"  I'm sharing a card for Thanksgiving using the adorable Give, Give, Give & Goble Itty Bitty by Joslyn Nielson The sketch inspiration came from this month's Unity {be Inspired} Challenge I ran across an idea for DIY Embossing paste a few weeks ago. My husband pulled out his tub of joint compou...

Unity Friends with Flair and Be Inspired Challenge

I am so glad that I got a chance to play along with the Friends with Flair Challenge this week!  I've had an idea growing for the past week to use the scrapbook page layout provided on the Be Inspired challenge blog.  It finally came together for me today!  Here is the sample layout provided for the challenge. Here is my take on the layout using an Itty Bitty from Unity called "Destination Happiness"  and the chevron background.  I have also used a scrolled journal block that I received in a freebie bag.  I have to admit that this is definitely not my typical style of scrapbooking.  It was nice to step out of my comfort zone and give it a try!  I also have to admit that this is my first completed page in probably a year.  Yikes! Thanks to Joslyn for the challenge and inspiration to get me back into creating! PS > Sorry for the poor photo!  I never quite know how to photograph a 12x12 scrapbook page.  Tips are alway...

Unity Friends with Flair

A quick post to share my clean and simple design for the Unity Friends with Flair and Be Inspired challenges.  Below is the color inspiration that I chose to use for my card from the Be Inspired Challenge: I used several Memento Dew Drop inks for a direct to paper application.  I took advantage of Angela's recent sale to buy 1 Itty Bitty and get the second for a penny.  Really, who could resist?!  Anywho, I received my order this week and the " Talk Nerdy " image was just calling to be inked up! I added a few gems and added a partial sentiment from the "Bubbles of Fun" set by Phyllis Harris.  Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!  I always enjoy reading your comments.
