Art Impressions Challenge - Yellow

I'm joining the current Art Impressions challenge to use the color yellow.  I was a recent winner at Art Impressions and chose Kim Hein's adorable Song Birds and Feeders Set.   The image was stamped with my Misti which gave easy alignment for the bird landing on the birdbath.  I used Strathmore watercolor paper and colored with a blender and Tombow markers. The image was die cut with Spellbinder circle and scallop circle dies.  Cardstock from Stampin' Up! - Basic Grey and More Mustard frame the image.  Seam tape ribbon, dry embossed designer paper from Graphic45, gems and leaf dies from Verve Stamps accent the card.  The sentiment is also from Art Impressions. Happy Mother's Day - Daffodil Delivery

I'm getting a head start on my Mother's Day cards with this adorable Daffodil Delivery digital image from Di's Digi Designs.  You can find an updated version in Di's Etsy shop HERE . The image was printed onto X-Press It card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  The image and frame panel were die cut with Spellbinders Oval dies then layered onto designer paper from Graphic45.   The Mother's Day sentiment is from Hero Arts and was wet embossed on vellum then adhered.  I finished the A2 size card with coordinating baker's twine. Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #109

We awoke to -10 degree temperatures in Anchorage this morning.  If that wasn't enough fun for the day, when I went to get my car out the garage for church, the garage door was frozen.  Ugh!  DH had already left for work so I got to stay home all day. Since I had a little extra stamping time today, I decided to put together an altered composition book.  My mom likes to use a journal when they take trips.  I recently bought this adorable camera embellishment at Mike's in the $2 bin.  So, I thought, why not make a travel journal?! Here's the supplies that I used: Here's the finished book: Easy peasy!  After I glued the designer paper to the book, I trimmed and sanded the edges.  In all, it only took about 30 minutes to put together.  Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!  Now I have to get this in the mail so my Mom can use it on her next trip! Don't forget to take a photo of what you've been up to recently.  It's...

CPS 231 - My Favorite Things

This week's sketch over on the CPS - Card Sketches blog is My Favorite Things . When I saw the sketch I knew I would use "Just My Type". I love the matching die. I am completely smitten with the detail of this fabulous vintage typewriter! I have combined the MFT image and sentiment with papers from Graphic45 Communique Collection. I love Graphic45 products and I tend to hoard more than use these gorgeous vintage papers! Fun sketch again this week, Tami! I'm glad I got a chance to play along.
