Word Art Wednesday Challenge - Luke 1:45

There is a new challenge at Word Art Wednesday , and we have two fabulous sponsors:   Crafty Individuals  and  Really Reasonable Ribbon . We have another lovely digital Scripture this week created by Karen Murray.  You are always welcome to use the Scripture, but it's not required to play along. My clean and simple design features this week's Bible Verse and an image from Beautiful You set from Stampin' Up!  The umbrella was paper pieced with designer paper from my stash.  Ink splatters and an embossed based panel complete the card.  I would like to share my card with the following: Allsorts Challenge:  #823 Paper Piecing PIP Challenge:  #2519 Anything Goes Stamping Sensations Challenge:   May - Feminine

HMFMC #432-ATG or Use an embossing folder

I'm joining the current House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge to use an embossing folder.  My card features the adorable House-Mouse Designs Donut Day (retired). The image was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils.  It was fussy cut and layered onto an embossed panel using an interesting technique with embossing powders.  Basically, you layer embossing powders onto a piece of parchment paper, melt it then run it through the machine inside a folder of choice!  The YouTube tutorial for the technique was recently shared on a Facebook group:     YouTube Tutorial Double Embossing This was my first attempt. The chocolate panel was also embossed traditionally with a dot folder.  A few nuvo drops were added and a sentiment from Paper Smooches finishes the card. House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #407 AG or use Silver/Gold

The current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge is to use touches of silver and/or gold.  I created a starry sky with a gelli plate galaxy print and this cute little House Mouse image from the Stampendous Spring Stamps set. The image was fussy cut and colored with Sepia Prismacolor pencil.  A Darice star emboss folder was used for the base.  The galaxy background gelli print was layered onto silver glitter paper with a moon image and gold star stickers. House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #402 AG w/Option of Rainbow

I have a quick Thanksgiving themed card for this week's House-Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge.  My card features the adorable Mice Landing (1994) wood mounted image from House-Mouse Designs/Stampabilities. The embossed base panel is an older folder from Cuttlebug.  I felt that the embossing "spoke" for itself and needed minimal embellishment.  Only a few enamel dots and fall colors. SheepSki Designs Challenge: #72 Embellish It

I recently won 3 digital images from SheepSki Designs.  I couldn't resist playing with this adorable little party bear!  SheepSki Designs Challenge theme for March is Embellish It.  Most of my cards are mailed, but I included a few enamel dots and a pom pom to embellish the card. The Party Animal image was printed onto X-Press It card stock and colored with Copic Markers.  I then die cut with Spellbinders circle and scallop circle dies.  The image was layered onto Echo Park Happy Birthday paper scraps from my stash.  The card base is Stampin' Up! Taken with Teal embossed with a number folder. Di's Digi Design Challenge - Emboss It

I'm joining the current embossing challenge at Di's Digi Challenge Blog.  I colored the adorable Sweet Moments digital image with Copic Markers.  It's very subtle, but the base panel was dry embossed with a heart folder.  The Anniversary sentiment was wet embossed in white.  The image was layered onto designer papers from Pebbles Inc Garden Party paper pad.  A button and ladybug were added from my stash to finish the card. Art Impressions Challenge - To Die For

I'm joining the current Art Impressions challenge to use dies.  I bought their fun Tool Shed Tryfold stamp and die set during a sale. It's perfect for a masculine birthday. The images were colored with Copic Markers and die cut.  I found the brick wall embossed panel in my stash and paired it with a cloudy pattern paper. A Blog Named Hero - June Challenge Old & New

This adorable Hero Arts Garden Fancy Die has been on my wish list for awhile.  I received it in a recent order and couldn't wait to create.  I also used card stock from the Hero Hues sampler pack in the same order.  Great quality and it embossed/die cut perfectly! I masked and sponged the sky with distress inks.  An older Hero Arts wood mounted Precious Thank You was stamped in the garden die window.  I kept the card simple by finishing with a gingham ribbon from Gina K. HMFMC #318 Always Anything Goes Option of Circle/Dots

Good morning!  I hope everyone is getting time to be crafty this weekend.   I'm sneaking in a little late with an entry for the current House Mouse and Friends challenge using circles/dots.  My card features the adorable Blowing Bubbles images by Stampendous.   I stamped the image twice and die cut the circles then colored with Copic Markers.  The base circle dies were cut from Co'ordinations paper and the base panel is SU Basic Grey embossed with a dot folder. LOTS of dots and circles!   To finish the card, Verves leafy dies were cut using vellum.  I added a few sequins and sentiment from SU.  I'm pleased with the end result!  This will be going into my stash for our church birthdays. My Favorite Things Sketch and Birthday Project Challenges

I pulled out a favorite MFT set tonight to play along with the sketch and birthday challenges.  The current MFT birthday project challenge is to use circles.  My card features the adorable Warm & Fuzzy Friends and coordinating Trail Mix paper pad.  The images were stamped onto watercolor paper, colored with Tombow markers and die cut.    The base panel was dry embossed with a woodgrain folder from The Paper Studio.  MFT Radiant Sun and Happy Birthday Circle frames were used for the circle panels.  I finished the card with enamel dots and a coordinating sentiment from the same set. I'm playing along with the current House-Mouse Friends Monday Challenge with this sweet Iris Climber stamp.  The image was colored with Copic markers and Stickles accents. My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge #481 and Birthday Project Challenge

I finally made it to the craftroom this afternoon to finish a card for a couple of the MFT challenges.  My card features the retired Lily Die-namics from MFT.  To add dimension, I lightly inked the edges of each piece before assembling the flowers. I added embossing for the diagonal panel of the sketch.  The card is finished with enamel dots and a birthday sentiment from PI- All Occassion Sentiments set.  I would like to share my card with the following: My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch:  Challenge #481 My Favorite Things Birthday Project:  March Challenge   Cute Card Thursday Challenge:  #626 Just For Fun!   Word Art Wednesday:  Anything Goes Week #430 - #431

House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #311 Anything Goes with the Option of Embossing

I'm a new player over at the House-Mouse challenge .  I've really been having fun and I couldn't resist this sweet little Maxwell "Say Cheese" image when I came across it a Michael's this weekend.  AND I knew that I had the perfect coordinating embossing folder!  It was meant to be! I started by stamping with Memento inks then colored the camera was various Azure warm grey inks.  Maxwell was colored with Copic Markers.  I decided to use the "out of the box" technique with the die and really like the finished effect. I kept it very simple with a couple of color pops with the cheese wedge and sentiment. AAA Cards Clean and Simple Challenge #156

The cold, snowy weather in my area has sent my Crafty Mojo on a downward spiral this week!  But this fun CAS sketch design at AAA Cards Challenge gave me a boost today. I pulled out a folder with a few images which I've colored recently and decided this cute chicken from Craftin' Desert Divas would work perfect for a clean and simple Birthday card.  A Stampin' Up! emboss folder was used for the cross panel.  The sentiment is from Art Impressions.  The digital chicken image was colored with Copic markers and highlighted with charcoal pencil. Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Challenge #278 - Anything Goes with Optional Spring

Have you heard the news?  The Mo Manning Digital Stamp Challenges are back!  Their first challenge is Anything Mo Goes with an optional Spring theme. My card features a sweet digital image and sentiment from Mo's shop called In the Spring .  I kept my card design simple to focus on the sweet little gardener girl.  The scene was colored with Alcohol markers. I used a scallop die to mask and sponge the cloudy sky. I layered the image onto an embossed background panel then added a couple of butterflies and Stampin' Up! ribbon.  The butterflies and emboss panel were a crafty gift from my mom who is also a card maker.   We try to stretch our craft supplies by sharing! Hero Art Challenge - Embossing

I'm sharing a last minute entry for the current Hero Arts Challenge - Embossing.  My card features an image and sentiment from the Hero Arts Monthly Kit for August 2018.  There were lots of yummy coffee images and coordinating sentiments in this set.  Love it! I decided to use a partial emboss technique that I haven't done for awhile.  I really like the effect and it's so simple!  You need a chipboard/cardboard shim with the center shape die cut.  I layer it on top of my emboss folder and run it through my Cuttlebug with the A and C plates.  Tim Holtz On The Go emboss folder was used for the panel. The embossed panel is Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake layered onto SU Real Red card stock.  The image has been colored with Copic markers. A Blog Named Hero Challenge - Embossing

I'm sharing with the current embossing challenge at A Blog Named Hero featuring the Hero Arts January Kit .  I love the detailed stamps in this set.  This is my first attempt creating a window scene.  I definitely need practice! The window was die cut and colored with Alcohol markers.  The awning was paper pieced with scraps from my stash.  I built the scene behind a piece of clear plastic.  Finally, it was mounted onto the Basic Grey card stock base panel which was dry embossed with Tim Holtz brick embossing folder.  I lightly sponged distress ink over the embossing to highlight.   Although the base photographed as black... it's really grey.  The card was finished with a birthday sentiment.
