Stampin' In Alaska

  I'm joining a few challenges with a mixed media design featuring Penny Black Irises wood mount stamp from 2003.  I love the water color effect of the image. I began with water color paper and smooshing several layers of Hero Arts reactive inks.  Acrylic paint was lightly splattered for additional dimension.  Stampin' Up! gems, a die from Stamplorations and gingham bow finish the card.   I'm sharing a fun birthday card for the current challenge at Art Impressions to include a drink.  I love Bonnie's critters and this retired set is one of my favorites from Art Impressions called Udderly Fantastic. I started by stamping and embossing the cow image.  It was colored with Copic Markers, die cut and Hero Arts ink was blended for the background.  The image was layered onto designer papers from the Doodlebug Designs Down on the Farm paper pad.  A doily, enamel dots and sentiment finish the card.   I'm sharing a "no stamping" card with the current Allsorts challenge to use shades of blue.  It's very rare for me to make cards completely with dies.  The papers are an older Stampin' Up!   I'm joining the current HMFMC with the option of spring flowers.  My card features an older House-Mouse stamp called Tea Time from Stampendous. The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and die cut.  Designer papers are from an older paper pad by DCWV.  A few pearls and doily finish the card.   Happy Monday!  I love a good sketch challenge and I'm so happy that MFT is providing their fabulous inspiration once again.   My monochromatic design began with designer papers from Stampin' Up!  I recently received the new Not-So-Basic Happy Birthday Die-namic which worked perfectly for this week's sketch.  At the last minute I decided to add a few gems.   I'm back in the craft room after a winter break.  This is one of the sweet images that I colored during my vacation - Giraffe Scooter Fun .  You can find it, along with many other great images, in Di's Etsy Shop. The new challenge at Di's is Circles Everywhere.  After coloring the image was Copic Markers, it was die cut and a cloudy stencil was used for the background.  A little pebbly road was created as well. I pulled various papers together with dots & circles for this 5.5 square card.  The die cut numbers and sentiment were also in my stash.
