Stampin' In Alaska

I have a quick card to share for this week's There She Goes Challenge - TSG 203 Just Because.   TSG is also sponsoring this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch #194 .  I love me a good sketch! Here's the sketch we were asked to use: Here's the card I created for both challenges using There She Goes Jungle Out There : This set is so much fun and the images are big... perfect for cards or scrapbooking! The elephant image was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.  I had the negative frame in my stash and decided this was the perfect sketch to use them!  I tucked a little cheesecloth behind the frame for some extra texture (which I Love!) and layered different papers from the MME Breeze paper pad.  Easy Peasy!  Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!  I hope you get a chance to play along this week.

I'm posting quickly before work this morning to share with the Sassy Cheryl "Show me" challenge.  The week has gotten away from me and today is the deadline for the fun!!  As many of you know, the 3rd annual Hope You Can Cling To challenges began on Splitcoast Stampers Monday morning.  It's a month long challenge with all of the projects/cards going to the MD Anderson Cancer center in Texas.  The donated cards are made available to patients and their families.  Check the details HERE and maybe you'll have a chance to play along this month! There She Goes is celebrating their fourth year in business with a big party!  This week they are celebrating with a different challenge each day. There She Goes Celebration Day 1 There She Goes Celebration Day 2 Day 3 of the celebration includes an inspiration photo: Here's what I came up with focusing on the color combo and using " Scent-sational ": Day 4 of the celebration is a challenge which calls for banners.  Below is what I came up with using a ribbon banner die: I used the adorable set " Poultry in Motion " for this fun birthday card. Finally, Day 5 of the celebration is a challenge to use three or more embellishments.  Below is my card using machine stitching, baker's twine, Stickles and buttons: This card was created using " Scent-sational " and " Blossom by Blossom ". I'm back with a second post tonight! There She Goes is celebrating their 4th year in business with a week of challenges. The challenge for Day 2 is to create something for the man/boy in our life and a birthday theme, of course. Here's what I came up with using "Float My boat" set: This cute little image is so sweet!  I used Copic Markers to color the image and sponged Memento inks for the sky and water.  The base was dry embossed using a Cuttlebug Spots embossing folder.  The base panels were machine stitched and dewdrops were added.  Finally, a birthday sentiment was added. There She Goes is celebrating their 4th year in business with a week of challenges. The challenge for Day 1 is to create something with numbers and a birthday theme, of course. Here's what I came up with using the "Scent-sational" set: I am having so much fun playing with the sweet skunk images in this set!  The skunk image was colored with Copic Markers.  The atomizer was paper pieced with Basic Grey Shine On papers.  The base panel was dry embossed using a Cuttlebug numbers folder.  Coordinating designer papers were used from the Shine On paper pad.  Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look! This time around our Can You Digi It? Challenge is "Bird is the Word".   Here is the inspiration collage for this challenge: There are tons of fun bird images in the CYDI store.  I decided to use " Henpecked " by LilyPink Designs.  I cut out only the chicken for this card: I used Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake for the base of my card and the Retired Stampin' Up!  Chicken wire background stamp with this fun digi.  The dp is from October Afternoon.  The sentiment is from There She Goes and I added a row of rhinestones from Amuse.
