Creative Worship Stamps - Silhouette Birthday

I'm so honored to have been invited to Guest Design with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps for the month of July.  I have been a customer of Sweet 'n Sassy since their beginning.  Korin Sutherland began Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps , LLC in 2007 as a small, family-owned, Christian company offering their own brand of clear stamps, dies, stencils and digital products to the paper crafting community. The SNSS products are proudly made in the USA and offer many Scripture based stamp sets.  Be on the lookout for a new company name soon - Creative Worship Stamps! Masculine designs are always challenging for me.  But when I saw the Birthday Guy clear stamp set from Creative Worship Stamps I knew it was a must-have!  This set contains four great sentiments - three are specific to the guys. I began by sponging a colorful cloudy sky then stamping the tree and moose image from Creative Worships Forest Silhouettes stamp set .  A couple of bird dies from the Forest Silho...

Art Impressions Challenge: Bloom Where You're Planted

I'm joining the current Art Impressions Challenge to include flowers, trees, plants, etc.  My bookmark features the AI Garden Wagon Mini Set . I began by stamping the wagon and flowers on white card stock.  A puffy cloud background was masked and sponged with Memento inks.  The panel scene and base were die cut with Spellbinder Long Classic Rectangle dies.  A punch from my stash was used for the tab and denim ribbon adhered.  A Scripture from Sweet 'n Sassy's In the Psalms set finishes the project.   I'm joining Di's Digi Challenge with a recent freebie called Garden Friends.  Such a cute scene and I love the sweet fox!  It was tough to narrow down my Favorite color combo... but I do like using orange, green and yellow. The image was colored with alcohol markers. I sponged the background with Memento Danube Blue ink.  A wonky stitched die cut was used for the scene then layered onto papers from Pebbles Garden Party paper pad.  Finally, twine and a button were added for texture to complete the card. Di's Digi Challenge - Make It Monochrome

I'm joining the current Monochromatic challenge at Di's Digi.  I was inspired by Di's adorable blog inspiration to "be brave" and use shades of pink on my project.  This sweet digi was a recent freebie from Di through Kit and Clowder called Party Animal. I had so much fun coloring this image with various alcohol markers in shades of pink.  The cloudy sky was masked and sponged with distress inks.  Pink gingham from my scrap pile was used to paper piece the balloons.  A few enamel dots and birthday sentiment from Stampin' Up finish the 4.25 square card. Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #15 Fall

I'm playing along with the Hero Arts Challenge featuring their layered pumpkin patch kit.  This was so fun to create and perfect for Fall themed projects. This kit is still available in the shop at $34.99 it's a steal!  This was my first time to play with the kit, but I'm looking forward to using this for my Thanksgiving cards this year. I've included the Hero Arts recipe for the layers.  It's a perfect jumpstart for using this kit.  Now, I can play with a variety of colors. Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge #295 Anything "Mo" Goes

I'm playing along with the current Anything Goes challenge over at Mo's challenge blog.  I've merged two of Mo's digital images to create this scene.  Thinking of You and Beach Elements 1 . The image was colored with Copic Markers.  The sky was sponged with Memento ink and a scallop die to create the clouds.  Memento ink was lightly sponged for the ocean and sand.  Designer papers are from Bo Bunny Key Lime paper pad. This will be going to a co-worker who is retiring soon.  I love this sweet image and it works perfectly for a going away card. Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #8 Small Joys

I'm joining the current Hero Arts Stay Crafty Challenge - Small Joys.  We have been asked to use the smaller images and dies from our Hero Arts sets.   I pulled out the January 2019 monthly kit and created a clean and simple one layer design with a few of the smaller images and dies.  The clouds were created by masking and sponging distress inks then spritzed with water. The images were colored and die cut.  A wood mounted Hero Arts stamp A2460 Precious Thank You finishes the card. House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #309 - Anything Goes

I'm joining the current House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge with this adorable stamp.  The stamp is called Lavender Birdfeeder .  I colored the image with Copic Markers.  The cloudy sky was masked with a scallop die then sponged with Memento ink. This is a really large stamp.  The final card size is 5.75 x 4.50 I love the expression on the hummingbird as he catches the mouse partaking of their dinner!  It really makes me smile. I could not participate in the optional hearts, but chose to make this a birthday card.   I think this will put give the recipient (who happens to be a gardner) a chuckle as well. Clean and Simple Father's Day

I completed my final Father's Day card tonight!  I pulled out an older Memory Box set called BBQ Penguin for my card.  The penguin and grill were both heat embossed with CTMH black powder.  The hat was paper pieced with scrap paper in my stash. The background was sponged with Memento Bamboo Leaves and Bahama Blue inks.  I kept the card clean and simple without embellishments for easy mailing. Have you heard the news?  The Mo Manning Digital Stamp Challenges are back!  Their first challenge is Anything Mo Goes with an optional Spring theme. My card features a sweet digital image and sentiment from Mo's shop called In the Spring .  I kept my card design simple to focus on the sweet little gardener girl.  The scene was colored with Alcohol markers. I used a scallop die to mask and sponge the cloudy sky. I layered the image onto an embossed background panel then added a couple of butterflies and Stampin' Up! ribbon.  The butterflies and emboss panel were a crafty gift from my mom who is also a card maker.   We try to stretch our craft supplies by sharing! Art Impressions Challenge #252 - Outdoor Scenes

Inspiration came to me yesterday for the current Art Impressions challenge.  I couldn't resist pulling out the adorable Ole Buck set to create a fun outdoor birthday card. If you are like me and you have hunters in your family this set is perfect.  This set comes with great sentiments and hunting themed images.  I will definitely be using this set again soon! The main image was colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut.  The AI Fronts-N-Backs fence (UMP1499) was stamped onto kraft and fussy cut.  Finally, the card base was sponged with a scalloped die and Memento ink to create the clouds.  A little deer from the set was stamped behind the fence and colored as well!
