Sassy Cheryl's sketch Challenge

Can I share a secret with you?  I am a sketch challenge addict!  Almost every card that I create starts with a sketch in mind.  So, when I saw the fun sketch that Judy provided for this week's Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps Challenge, the creative juices started flowing.

I have had this image on my workdesk for a couple of weeks.  So, this week I used Sam's Rainy Day for my project:

I am including a close up of Sam and her paper pieced umbrella.  This is one of my current color combinations.  I have used various designer papers from My Mind's Eye Reunion paper pad.  Sam was colored with Copic Markers and shaded with General's charcoal pencil and blended.  The background was sponged with Memento ink.  This digital image has been retired, but due to overwhelming request, Cheryl is bringing back some of the retired images in sets.  You can find Sam in a set HERE.

I am also submitting this for Cheryl's Show Me Challenge which is running for two weeks again.  It's super easy and you might be the lucky winner of a Sassy Cheryl Digital Image!

Gorgeous Cheryl - love the way you have paper piced the umbrella and given the image dimension - and I too enjoy you colour combination :-).

Great card Cynthia! I think I'm a bit of a sketch addict too, certainly help when you get that crafter's block although looking at your lovely creations, I can't imagine you suffering with that. :)

Oh Cynthia, just about all my cards start with a sketch too. I love your overlapping of the chevrons. Your coloring is wonderful and love the added touch of the charcoal pencils and blending. Brilliant idea to paper piece(fabulous papers btw) and raise it up off the page, and what a great sentiment. Absolutely delightful start to finish.
