Woodblock Wednesday - Floral Anniversary

Amy Tsuruta generously hosts a monthly challenge for all of us who still treasure our woodblock stamps.  The last day of the month she invites everyone to dust off their woodblock stamps and create. During a recent antique trip, I came across a group of three floral stamps sitting all alone among a booth of other treasures.  Of course, they came home with me!  Lucky me - one of the stamps is Hero Arts Silhouette Spray (2010) and in perfect condition. The image was stamped with Adirondack Pesto, Lettuce and Mushroom dye inks then die cut with Unity Stamps Stitched Scallops & Arches nesting dies.  I lightly inked the edges with Latte dye ink.  The image was layered onto silver cardstock arched die.  I found the beautiful designer paper on a recent trip to my local Hobby Lobby store.  LOVE the colors!  It was mounted onto Stampin' Up! Always Artichoke card stock.  The card was finished with a woodblock sentiment from Hero Arts, gems, ...

Di's Digi Designs - Clean and Simple Challenge

I'm joining the current clean and simple challenge at Di's Digi Design Blog.  This sweet Cherry Blossom Mice image was printed onto X-Press It card stock and colored with alcohol markers.  A couple of rectangle dies from Spellbinders was used to cut the image and mat. The image and word die cut were layered onto Bo Bunny designer card stock.  This will be going into my stash for an upcoming anniversary of a couple in our church. I would like to share my card with the following Di's Digi Designs Clean and Simple Challenge PIP #2434 Anything Goes Allsorts Challenge #795 Anything Goes  Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge:  #236 Anything Goes

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes (Option of Nature)

I'm joining the PBSC with the option of Nature.  My card features the adorable Wonderful (30-029) clear stamp set from Penny Black. I started by stamping onto water color paper and blending with Tombow Marker ink.  Such a sweet image and fun to color! My design idea came from an abundance of polka dotted scraps.  They were die cut with a few sizes of Spellbinder circle dies and arranged on core'dinations textured white cardstock. The card was finished with enamel dots and a sentiment from Hero Arts. Di's Digi Design Challenge - 2 or more pattern papers

I'm joining the current challenge at Di's Digi with 2 or more patterned papers.  My card features Di's adorable Cherry Blossom Mice image. The image was printed onto Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers.  It was die cut and layered onto various papers from my scrap pile.  I finished with a die cut sentiment and a few pearls. Di's Digi Design Challenge - Emboss It

I'm joining the current embossing challenge at Di's Digi Challenge Blog.  I colored the adorable Sweet Moments digital image with Copic Markers.  It's very subtle, but the base panel was dry embossed with a heart folder.  The Anniversary sentiment was wet embossed in white.  The image was layered onto designer papers from Pebbles Inc Garden Party paper pad.  A button and ladybug were added from my stash to finish the card. A Blog Named Hero May Challenge - Celebrate

I'm joining the Celebrate challenge at A Blog Named Hero with a clean and simple Anniversary card.  In keeping with the 45th Anniversary Celebration, I've used a couple of wood mounted images for my card - Botanical Peony H2123 and Happy Anniversary C2763.   I tried the repeat stamping technique with the peony image.  I don't typical go "black and white", but thought it was appropriate with the designer papers from American Crafts.  I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone with this one.
