Paper Smooches Color Pop Challenge

I'm joining the current Paper Smooches challenge - Black and White with a Pop of color.  I pulled out a favorite PS set - Paws for a Cause for this challenge. I started by sponging a sunray stencil on the base panel.  Using my Misti, I stamped the dog silhouette and sentiment from the PS Sentiment Sampler set.  A couple of pieces of washi tape finishes the card. Just in case you haven't heard the (sad) news, Kim will be closing the Paper Smooches store.  She is currently liquidating the store with a retiring sale this summer.  Be sure to stop by and check it out! I would like to share my card with the following: Paper Smooches:  July 15 - 28 Color Pop Challenge   Word Art Wednesday:  #448 - 449 Anything Goes   Wk 29 - Anything Goes Craft challenge at Digi Choosday/Polkadoodles

Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge - Anything Goes

I hope everyone had a great  start to the week! This week's challenge on the  Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge Blog is Anything Goes! (You gotta love that!) My card features two Paper Smooches Stamp sets Sentiment Sampler and  Boob Tubes I mail most of my cards to family and friends out of state.  So many of my designs are  pretty clean and simple. I really like how this turned out! The TV images were stamped using Stream, Lettuce and Red Pepper Adirondack dye inks. The image panel was layered on designer paper from Stampin' Up! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week.

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge: Anything Goes

This week I got a chance to play along with one of my Favorite Stamp Companies Paper Smooches! This week's Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge is Anything Goes. I am a long time fan of Kim Hughes' work. My project features two Paper Smooches sets: Boob Tubes Sentiment Sampler I added a little Washi Tape and a doily for texture. Of course, the Boob Tube image was paper pieced with a little bling added for the dials. I loved the robin egg blue and hot pink color combo as well! Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!

Paper Smooches SPARKS

Kim has selected another inspiration photo from Pinterest for the SPARKS challenge. There is a lot of inspiration to chose from here! I decided to use the color scheme (pink, yellow, green & white) for my challenge card below: It's always nice to have an extra Birthday card handy! I used a couple of Kim's sets for this sweet Birthday card. The cupcake image is from Cornish Heritage Farms Kim Hughes Collection "Baked with Love" and the sentiment is from Kim's Paper Smooches set "Sentiment Sampler". The cupcakes were colored with Copic Markers then Stickles were applied in yellow, eucalyptus and cotton candy. Finally, the "cherry" was applied using Robin's Nest dew drops. Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!

CPS Anniversary Celebration Day 5 and Paper Smooches Sparks

The Card Positioning System blog is celebrating their 5th Anniversary. Laura picked the the following sketch for Day 5: Here is my take on the sketch: I've used a digital stamp from Paper Smooches that you can find HERE . I pulled inspiration from the Sparks Challenge to use the striped designer paper and felt clouds. You can find the Sparks Challenge Inspiration photo HERE . The sentiment is from Paper Smooches clear art stamp set "Sentiment Sampler". Great inspiration from both challenges! I used designer papers from October Afternoon "Fly a Kite" and "Modern Homemaker" paper pads. Base card stock is Stampin' Up! Kraft. Thanks for stopping by to take a look! This card is being submitted to the following challenges: CPS Anniversary Challenge Day 5 Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge
This time around, Kim found the following inspiration photo for the Sparks Challenge . There is tons of inspiration to be found with this word art photo. I decided to use the word art and rainbow colors to make the following CAS Birthday card. We have a young man in our church with a birthday coming up soon. I think this will be perfect! I'm really enjoying the Sparks challenges. It really makes me stretch my creativity and step outside my comfort zone sometimes. The "Sentiment Sampler" from Paper Smooches was used for this Birthday card. Adirondack inks and baker's twine was also used. Thanks for stopping by to take a look! I always enjoy reading your comments.
This is the inspiration photo that Kim has posted for the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge this time around. I had to really think about this one and decide how I wanted to use the inspiration. There were so many options! Finally, the card evolved out of a need for a Birthday card for my brother-in-law. Below is the result: I took inspiration from the frames by using a few critters from Paper Smooches " Birthday Buddies" set. I tried to keep with the colors I found in the photo as well. The birthday sentiment is from Paper Smooches " Sentiment Sampler ". I think Kim's handwritten sentiments are so much fun! Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

This month's Sparks Challenge was to create something inspired by the photo above. Cool Photo! I focused on the colors, woodgrain and texture of the photo. Below is what I came up with using Paper Smooches "Boob Tube" and "Sentiment Sampler". The quirky face was made with various small images included with the "Boob Tube" set. This was really fun! Thanks for stopping by to take a look! Be sure to check out all of the challenges and products on the Sparks Challenge blog .

Paper Smooches August Sparks Challenge

Kim Hughes is sponsoring another challenge on her Paper Smooches blog. The August challenge is an inspiration photo (below). This was really a tough one for me, but I'm happy with my results! I really focused on the colors and textures from the inspiration photo and came up with the card below using Paper Smooches "Boob Tube" and "Sentiment Sampler" stamp sets. I LOVE the clear quality of these clear polymer stamps. The unique and fun designs are SO Kim Hughes! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!
