Unity - Friday Friends with Flair

Happy Friday! It's Friends with Flair today at Unity! I'm sharing a quick card that I created in under 10 minutes for the Unity Facebook Release party on Tuesday. It was a fun challenge. My card features  Great Love and Miracles which is on sale now for $2.99 ! A very CAS design  with Tim Holtz distress reinkers splattered with a paint brush for the background. A couple of DIY enamel dots and gems  finish the card! Don't forget to leave a comment for your chance at a random Unity PRIZE!!

Unity Friends With Flair - Part 2

Happy Friday, again! I'm back to share a second card with this week's Unity Friends with Flair linky party . I was so excited to be the Friends with Flair project winner a couple of weeks ago. I received a wonderful assortment  of single stamps in the mail. This project is using two of  those images. I gotta be honest... I LOVE how this little card turned out.  AND that doesn't happen very often! Of course, I paper pieced the lion image and  added a couple of die cuts to complete the scene. I have used this month's card sketch provided by Unity's {be Inspired} Challenge Don't forget to leave a comment for your chance at randomly winning a grab bag of 25 Unity rubber stamps. Thanks for stopping by!    Be sure to check my updated Stamps For Sale page. (US shipping only)

Unity Friends with Flair and {be Inspired} Challenge

I have been away from the craftroom for the past couple of weeks. While I was on vacation I did have time to color some of the fabulous Unity images. This week's I'm using one of those  images and combining it with the fabulous {be Inspired} sketch. The sweet Unity image from Phyllis Harris  called Your Love Blows Me Away was stamped on Kraft Cardstock and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The background was sponged with Memento ink and a scalloped die. The sentiment is from Unity's Forever Friends by Phyllis Harris. Here's the Unity {be Inspired} sketch: Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to leave a comment for your chance at winning a fabulous Unity prize. I'm sharing my card with the following: Unity Friends with Flair Unity {be Inspired} Challenge Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: All Creatures Great & Small Simon Says Work It Wednesday: Use a New Product (Both the image and sentime...

Unity Friends with Flair and Simon Says

Happy Friday! I have been visiting family for the past couple of Friday's and missed posting with Unity's fun linky party. Friends With Flair Thanksgiving is such an overlooked Holiday. Maybe because it's hard to for us to give thanks? Maybe because it isn't a big money maker for retailers? I don't know, but...... The Pilgrims gave thanks to the Lord for their bounty. The Bible has multitudes of references to the giving of Thanks. Below is one of my favorites:   Psalms 100:4   "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving , and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name"  I'm sharing a card for Thanksgiving using the adorable Give, Give, Give & Goble Itty Bitty by Joslyn Nielson The sketch inspiration came from this month's Unity {be Inspired} Challenge I ran across an idea for DIY Embossing paste a few weeks ago. My husband pulled out his tub of joint compou...

It will probably end up as an embellishment on a scrapbook page in the near future! The Sun Ray stencil is from My Favorite Things. I used Color Box pigment inks with the stencil. {Love} this sentiment from Donna Downey! " Beautiful Place, Clear Head " You can get this sentiment right now at 50% off!! I am also sharing my tag with the following: Simon Says Monday Challenge:  Stencils and Stamps   and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge:  Anything Goes Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment! Wow, it's already Friday! The Unity Stamp Company hosts a Friends with Flair linky party each week. It's the perfect time to ink up my fabulous Unity rubbah and play! Here's what I created this week using the new Itty Bitty set by Angie Blom & Lisa Arana " Smile Big and Proud " I loved the funky camera image the minute  it was posted on the Unity website! I have combined it with an image from Unity's " Insta Cute " and a Polaroid die cut from Paper Smooches. The camera was colored with Tim Holtz distress reinkers.  Glossy accents were applied to the lenses. The yellow and blue enamel dots were made using Perlerbeads. Unity Friends with Flair and Sketch-N-Scrap #52

The week's seem to fly by and we are back to play along with Unity's Friends with Flair blog hop party. I made a promise to myself that I would scrapbook this year's vacation before  next year.  You smile, but pictures are still in  my drawer from our last two annual vacations! UGH! Unity kits and IttyBitty stamps have really inspired me to use more stamped images with my scrapbook layouts. Here's what I came up with this week. I can't believe how quickly it all went together! The following Unity stamp sets were used: Beautiful Place, Clear Head All day pass (to the beach) Epic Moments SMAK 6/13 Here's close up so you can see how beautifully the sun ray image from "Epic Moments" stamped on the Kraft: The sketch inspiration came from  Sketch~N~Scrap Challenge #52 : Thanks for stopping by for a closer look! Friends with Flair and Simon Says

Happy Friday! I have missed playing along with the Friends with Flair blog hop the past couple of weeks.  It seems like FOREVER since I have been able to play.  Hubby and I took a much needed vacation recently.  We escaped the Alaskan winter and relaxed on the island of Maui.  Of course, it all seems like a dream now!  Great trip! Maybe you will stop back by to take a peek at some of my photos from the trip in this Post . So, I took my Copic Markers, Prismacolor pencils  and a folder of stamped images along on the trip  to color.  I spent a couple of evenings on the lanai coloring in the sunlight.  Boy, was that fun!   I decided to use one of those images " happiness is.. ." by Phyllis Harris to create my project for this week: I kept the design clean and simple to focus on the sweet image. I've included two Dies from My Favorite Things.  The sentiment is from  Unity's J...

Unity Friends with Flair and Be Inspired Challenge

Happy Friday!  I have been out of town and unable to participate with Unity's Friends with Flair blog hop for the past few weeks.  I have really missed playing along.  This week I decided to use the Be Inspired sketch for my project: The sketch is pretty clean & simple.  I used Unity's Itty Bitty Button Bingo image and the birthday sentiment is from Memory Box. Thanks for stopping by for a closer look!  Hope you have a creative weekend.

Unity Friends with Flair and Be Inspired Challenge

I am so glad that I got a chance to play along with the Friends with Flair Challenge this week!  I've had an idea growing for the past week to use the scrapbook page layout provided on the Be Inspired challenge blog.  It finally came together for me today!  Here is the sample layout provided for the challenge. Here is my take on the layout using an Itty Bitty from Unity called "Destination Happiness"  and the chevron background.  I have also used a scrolled journal block that I received in a freebie bag.  I have to admit that this is definitely not my typical style of scrapbooking.  It was nice to step out of my comfort zone and give it a try!  I also have to admit that this is my first completed page in probably a year.  Yikes! Thanks to Joslyn for the challenge and inspiration to get me back into creating! PS > Sorry for the poor photo!  I never quite know how to photograph a 12x12 scrapbook page.  Tips are alway...
