Happy Father's Day

I recently received this fabulous masculine stamp set from Unity Stamp Company called Hook, Line & Sunshine .  It's perfect for the fisherman in your life and best of all it's only $12.47 right now! My card design was inspired by Christine Dearinger over on the Unity Show & Tell FB Group . The image was stamped onto kraft card stock and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  It was die cut with Gina Marie stitched square nested dies then layered onto Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip card stock.  The base panel was die cut with wonky stitched die (maker unknown) with paper from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby).  Inked edges and a coordinating sentiment complete the card. I went clean and simple (no embellishments) as this will be mailed to my father-in-law this week.  He is a fisherman and I think he will like this. Father's Day - Relax, you Deserve it!

I'm sharing a Father's Day card that will be going in the mail this week.  I purchased this wood mount stamp several years ago at my local stamp store. The company name is The Stamp Pad-Co.   This is perfect coming from Alaska!  I stamped the image and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The image is quite large so I mounted it simply onto scrap papers from my Basic Grey stash.  A few enamel dots finish the project.  I tend to keep my embellishments to a minimum since most of my cards are mailed.  FYI - Postage will be increasing again next month!! The image was stamped and heat embossed then colored with Copic markers.  It was die cut and layered onto designer papers from BoBunny Take a Hike paper pad.  The finished card size is 5 inches square.  I would like to share my card with the following: Art Impressions Challenge #329 Tickle Our Funny Bone Dragonfly Dreams Challenge:  June - Outdoors Allsorts Challenge:  Week 680 Any Stamped Image   Christian Card Makers Facebook Group:  Masculine

Your Next Stamp Challenge #165 Sunset

I'm joining the current YNS Challenge with one of my favorite YNS sets - Keepin' It Reel .  It's perfect for all of the fisherman in our family and a great Father's day set. I followed the sunset photo prompt by inking the Sea and Sky Stencil from Hero Arts for the background of the scene.  The "sand" was created with torn brown cardstock.  I lightly inked the edges for dimension. This will be going out to my Father-in-law next week.  Hope he likes it! AAA Cards CAS Game #167 - One Layer + optional twist Inspired By The Graphic

I'm joining a couple of challenges with this one-layer clean and simple Father's Day card.  The card started by sponging and blending distress ink with the MFT Radiating Rays stencil.  I used my Misti to stamp the Sweet 'n Sassy silhouette image in Versafine Claire black ink.  The sentiment is a retired set from SNSS. I really like how this turned out.  Clean and simple saves on the postage as well since this will be going into the mail in the morning!    I would like to share my card with the following: AAA Cards CAS Game #167 - One Layer + Inspired by the Graphic Word Art Wednesday Challenge:  #444 - 445 Anything Goes   Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:  Summer Fun   Stamplorations Stencil Challenge:  June Anything Goes

The Sweet Stop: SSS161

I'm back with a second post tonight!  I am taking advantage while the mojo is flowing. :) This week's sketch over on the Sweet Stop blog is really fun and versatile. I turned the sketch horizontally for my version.  Since Father's Day is just around the corner, I used the new Sweet 'n Sassy set " Timeless Classic " by Dina Kowal.  This set is full of images which are perfect for my uncle who is a collector of antique auto's. Here's what I came up with: The base cardstock is Stampin' Up! Basic Grey and the designer paper is Frances Meyer.  I used my new Paper Studio star embossing folder for the circle panel.  The circles were cut out using Spellbinder Nestibilities.  I colored the vintage car with Copic Marker Buttercup Yellow.  I added a few metal "screw" brads to finish off the masculine look! Here's a look at the entire set and I've included the store link above. Thanks for stopping by for a closer lo...
