Happy Father's Day

I recently received this fabulous masculine stamp set from Unity Stamp Company called Hook, Line & Sunshine .  It's perfect for the fisherman in your life and best of all it's only $12.47 right now! My card design was inspired by Christine Dearinger over on the Unity Show & Tell FB Group . The image was stamped onto kraft card stock and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  It was die cut with Gina Marie stitched square nested dies then layered onto Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip card stock.  The base panel was die cut with wonky stitched die (maker unknown) with paper from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby).  Inked edges and a coordinating sentiment complete the card. I went clean and simple (no embellishments) as this will be mailed to my father-in-law this week.  He is a fisherman and I think he will like this. Just Ink Lined - Dog Slobber

I've had this colored image in my stash for a while waiting for the perfect card.  There are a couple of challenges this week that call for either wildlife (not so wild maybe, but furry) and of course, fur. I am also adding this to my donation stack for the March Cards For Cubs card drive.  I learned about the organization through Splitcoast Stampers and their monthly Cards for a Cause post.  Please check the links to learn more about the event. The digital image called Best Seat in the House is from Just Ink Lined.  Sadly, they are no longer in business.  My hope is that this encouragement card brings a smile to the recipient.  It was colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils, fussy cut and popped up with dimension tape.  Papers from Simple Stories Homespun and sentiment from American Art Stamp complete the card.  I would like to share my card with the following: We Love Stamping:   Wildlife Inspiration PIP Challenge:...

Beccy's Place October New Release - Country Christmas

Beccy has designed another holiday inspired set this month called Country Christmas.  You can find this digital set at Beccy's Place online store now. I've created two project featuring the new set.  The first clean and simple card was printed onto kraft card stock and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  Stickles were added for dimension.  I really liked how the hanging stars fit perfectly onto the sentiment! A second project started by recycling a wood block which was left over after removing the rubber mounted stamp.  The block was painted with acrylic paint.  The pre-colored image was merged onto  sheet music then printed and glued to the block.  Additional paints and splatter were added.  I finished with the burlap ribbon edging and Stickles on the ornaments. Be sure to stop by Beccy's Place store to find this set and many others.  Beccy also generously provides many free digital images, tutorials, videos and card fold ideas....
