Stampin' In Alaska

I'm joining the current Funny & Punny challenge over at Art Impressions with their Cathy Caffeine Set .  I kept the card clean and simple but couldn't resist paper piecing her blouse with coordinating papers from Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper pad. I have to admit that the current challenge over at Art Impressions had me a little stumped.  Text only?  What?? That is until I pulled out my coffee themed sets and saw the wonderful sentiments  in both sets!  Usually the sentiment supports the image BUT this week the sentiment is the main focus. My card features sentiments (and image) from  Cathy Caffeine Set and Hot Java Mama. I started by inking a Tim Holtz Splatters stencil with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.  The sentiments were  then stamped and finally the image was  stamped onto Copic paper, colored with Copic Markers and fussy cut then adhered to the panel.  A few rhinestones finish the card. The current Art Impressions challenge to include a brad had me searching through drawers  for my brads!  My card features the fun Cathy Caffeine Set  with her slightly oversized cup of coffee. (some days I feel like Cathy!) The image was stamped onto Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake card stock and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The pencil was blended with baby oil and a blending stump. LOTS of layers and LOTS of machine stitching. The sentiment is "hanging" by a brad. This week's Art Impressions challenge is Tie It Up - use something on your card tied up. My card features Art Impressions Cathy Caffeine Set I used baker's twine for the bow, added a few DIY enamel dots and colored the fun image with Copic Markers. The coordinating image with this set is stamped inside and says:  "Coffee... the most important meal of the day!"
