  I'm joining the current sketch challenge at MFT with their new Celebrate Everything card kit.  I create a lot of birthday cards for friends and family.  I knew this kit was a must-have! The balloon die was used as the main focus of my card.  The Balloon Builder die is so quick and easy!  I used the Moroccan Spice card stock included in the kit... love the heavy quality of this card stock! The balloon die was layered onto papers from the Time to Celebrate paper pad included in the kit.  I finished with a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Celebrations set that was the recent free with purchase gift.   Good morning!  I'm joining the current challenge at Gina K. Designs with a fun reactive ink background.   My card features an image from the Gina K. Sent with Love StampTV kit (retired).  There are so many sweet images in this set! The background was created by applying reactive inks directly to a Hero Arts bubble background stamp, spritzing and stamping.  I love the effect!   I'm joining the House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge with their option of Anything But a Card.  My bookmark features the adorable House Mouse Designs Warm Cup (HMV04) by Stampendous.   The image was colored with Copic Markers and the cup was paper pieced with scraps from my stash.  The base is a scrap from my Gelli Plate folder.  A coffee stencil was applied to the distress ink gelli plate print.   I'm joining the Penny Black Saturday Challenge with the Option of Something New.  I have had Country Life 40-694 on my wish list for a couple of years.  I finally it recently and couldn't wait to ink it up! I stamped the image with VersaClaire black ink onto water color paper using my Misti.  It was water colored with various distress inks then dried overnight.  The sentiment is from Penny Black's Hugs 30-020 set.  It was stamped in VersaClaire ink using my Misti. I kept the design clean and simple to focus on the water color scene.  I am really pleased with the result!   I'm joining the current sketch challenge at My Favorite Things.  My card features the adorable Birdie Brown Saddle Up & Celebrate set. The image was colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut and layered onto paper from Doodlebug Designs Down on the Farm paper pad. The base panel was embossed with a Sizzix wood grain folder.   I'm joining the current Share Your Designs Challenge with Gerda Steiner's Moose Love clear set.  This set was a must-have since I live in Anchorage and moose are abundant.  I just love how Gerda drew the surprised expression of the bull moose! I started by coloring the images with Copic Markers and Prismacolor pencils then fussy cutting.  They were layered onto cloudy paper from Memory Box.  Memory Box dies Grassland Border and Tall Birch were used to create the scene.  A few heart dies with Stickles applied and sentiment from Hero Arts finish the card. This will be going to my aunt and uncle for their upcoming Anniversary.  They also live in Alaska and often have moose moms and calves visit at their house.  So fun!   Welcome to a new Anything Goes challenge at Word Art Wednesday. We have another fabulous Scripture Word Art image this week from Karen Murray. As always, you are welcome to save the word art to your computers; but you are never required to use it in order to play along in our challenges or to win. We welcome you to share your all you r art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. I tried a new-to-me double bridge fold card this week.  I'm including a link to Karens Kardzz YouTube tutorial if you are interested in the process.  I've included a photo which shows the dimension of the card.  It actually lays flat for mailing.  My final card size is 5 x 6.25. I started by sponging a 5x8.25 piece of card stock using a scalloped die and Memento ink.  Lots of dies were used the create the scene and I finished with a deer image from my stash.  The entire scene focuses on this week...

  I'm joining the current Art Impressions Challenge with a shaped rocker card.  My card features the adorable Submarine Cubbies set.  This set comes with both stamps and matching dies.   I started by stamping the submarine onto grey cardstock then die cutting.  All of the sea critters in the set were stamped onto water color paper, colored with Tombow markers then die cut.  I managed to include all of the sea critters (save one fish) on my card.  The rocker piece was made with a 5 inch circle die from Pink and main.  Designer paper and wave dies from MFT were added then the submarine was attached with all of the fun sea creatures.  Stickles was added to the waves for dimension.   I'm joining the current House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge with a new-to-me House-Mouse Designs image called Pool Play. This was a very challenging scene to color!  Ellen Jareckie has created such a detailed and amusing little scene.  I LOVE the playful mice in the little water hole.  This was so fun to create for me while in the midst a very long and cold Alaskan winter! Of course, the scene was colored with Copic Markers then layered onto cloudy designer paper from Memory Box and Stampin' Up! Wisteria Wonder.  I did not include a sentiment as not to cover up the sweet scene.   I'm joining the January Anything Goes Challenge at Jan's with a recipe card.  My project features Jan's Flour Child digital set. I started by using one of the pre-colored images from the set.  I saved a copy to Word and hand entered the recipe ingredients and instructions on my computer.   Do you have a favorite recipe that you grab often?  I love combining my favorite recipes with my favorite stamps.  I will probably laminate this recipe at a later date to keep it from getting soiled. PS - I use this recipe in my bread maker.  After adding the ingredients I select the dough setting.  I can then roll out the dough, pierce with a fork and add toppings.  Super easy!   I'm sharing a quick birthday card featuring Beccy's Paw Prints digital set.  I've used the pre-colored image for my card.  It makes the process quick and easy! The cute pup has been combined with MFT dies - Dog House and Grass border.  A stencil from Hero Arts was used for a soft "sky".   I'm joining the current MFT sketch challenge featuring an older card kit called Warm & Fuzzy Friends.  I love the sweet critters and great papers that came with this kit. The moose and trees were stamped onto water color paper, colored with Tombow markers and die cut.  Papers are from the Trail Mix paper pad and Persimmon card stock included with the kit.   I'm joining the current challenge at Beccy's Place with her Funny Farm digital set.   The critters in this set are SO fun!  I've used the pre-colored version for my card combined with papers from Doodlebug Designs down on the farm paper pad. I tried a new-to-me fun fold that I found on Instagram.  If you are interested in the process, I'm including the link HERE so you can see a quick video clip.   I'm very excited to post my first project with the Word Art Wednesday design team.  I was very surprised and honored to have been asked to join the team recently.  I look forward to sharing creative inspiration with the team while focusing on God's Word! My card includes a new digital image from Power Poppy and has been colored with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.  The panel was die cut and layered onto various papers from my stash.  I finished with a few enamel dots and a machine stitched border.  Another lovely Scripture image has been provided this week by Karen Murray.   I'm playing along with the current sketch and color challenges at My Favorite Things.  This week's sketch is so versatile.  I pulled out a couple of MFT dies - Prayers and Mix & Match Banners.  I also included a sentiment from PI - All Occasion Sentiments. The challenge colors are included with papers from the MFT Positively Peppy paper pad. I pulled out a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the base panel of my card.
