After applying a light splatter of green watercolor the panel was layered onto a black and white striped designer paper.  A gingham bow from Gina K Designs and gems complete the card.   I recently came across the Altenew Inspiration Challenges.  The color inspiration this month immediately called to me!  My project features Altenew Paint A Flower:  Spider Mums .   The image was stamped onto water color paper then water colored with Altenew Water color Essential 12 Pan set .  The image panel was layered onto SU Basic Black and Pink Passion  card stock.  I kept the image focal with a few rhinestones and a simple sentiment.    I would like to share my card with the following: Altenew Inspiration Challenge - February Color Inspiration Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:  Anything Goes PIP Challenge #2307 Anything Goes  Polkadoodles Craft Challenge:  Week 7 Anything Goes  

  Welcome!  The new Word Art Wednesday challenge starts today, and our sponsor is Altenew, who are giving a generous gift of a $15 voucher to their store. My card features a floral set from Altenew called Paint-A-Flower: Spider Mums .  The floral image is huge and the detail is fabulous.  I began stamping the image onto watercolor paper with versamark then heat embossing in white.  I then used the ink smooshing technique followed by watercolor of the flowers. I finished the card simply with a black mat, sentiment and a few Stampin' Up! rhinestones.  This is not my typical style, but I will definitely try this again.
