STAMPlorations April Challenge

I'm joining the April Anything Goes challenge at STAMPlorations with a mixed media tag.  My tag features Bloom Border #1 by STAMPlorations.  It was stamped onto a gelli print and heat embossed then fussy cut. Shery is having a fantastic Spring Cleaning Blowout sale .  Lots of items are going at great prices! The tag base was created with acrylic paints and an embossing folder on my gelli plate.  Below is a photo of the gelli print used for the Bloom Border stamp.   The tag was finished with black twine, organdy ribbon from my stash, a gem and a Verve leaf die cut from glitter card stock.  I used a sentiment from the Grace So Amazing set from Creative Worship Stamps.   I'm joining the current challenge at Di's Digi Challenge blog with a fun mixed media tag using stash items.  My project features Di's Dog Gone Cutie Pals digital image. The digital image was water colored and fussy cut.  I've used a variety of items from my stash starting with a Gelli Print tag.  A small piece of mesh is layered onto the tag then a vintage View-Master Reel was added as a base for the cute trio.  Ribbon, wood heart, DIY enamel dot and ticket were all items laying on my craft desk. Creative Worship Stamps Mixed Media Tag

I'm so honored to have been invited to Guest Design with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps for the month of July.  I have been a customer of Sweet 'n Sassy since their beginning.  Korin Sutherland began Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps , LLC in 2007 as a small, family-owned, Christian company offering their own brand of clear stamps, dies, stencils and digital products to the paper crafting community. The SNSS products are proudly made in the USA and offer many Scripture based stamp sets.  Be on the lookout for a new company name soon - Creative Worship Stamps! I started my project with a gelli print tag from my stash.  The Scripture from In the Psalms set was stamped onto tissue paper and applied to the tag with Modge Podge.     A church building image from the Family of God set was stamped and fussy cut with yellow Stickles applied to the windows.  I also lightly stamped the Psalm 23 Background stamp onto the tag before adhering the church building....

Mixed Media Friend Tag

I'm sharing a fun mixed media tag created with my Gelli Plate.  The vintage friends image is very old unmounted rubber from my stash.  I'm sorry but the company is unknown so I can not give credit. The tag was created with Hero Arts Tag Infinity dies.  A rub-on from my stash and washi tape finish the tag.  The "M" box for the sentiment is a little dark IRL so did not photo well.  :( I would like to share my project with the following: Allsorts Challenge #726 Anything Goes with Optional For the Girls Time Out Challenge #237 Fashionable Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  No Pattern Paper We Love to Create Mixed Media Challenge:  #4 Anything Goes

Mixed Media Altered Junk Envelopes

I recently came across a how-to video on Pinterest demonstrating altered junk envelopes.  I'm sorry I did not save the video and can not give credit to the artist. The final photo in my post shows the envelope that was used for the project.  I trimmed the left end of the envelope about 2 inches then clipped diagonally to achieve the fold you see in the photo. I chose to use various stencils on the front of my envelope and finished with a Mother's Day sentiment.  The back of the envelope (third picture) was covered with a stenciled gelli print on tissue paper. I recently came across a project tip showing crafty items you can create with clothing pattern tissue.  This worked perfectly for the tag which will be inserted into my junk envelope.  You can see in the first photo how the tag appears through the window.  The second photo shows the tag and all of the fun bits along with a vintage photo of my husband and his family. This was such a fun project a...

Beccy's Place November New Digital Release - Holly Days

Beccy's Place has a lovely new Christmas themed digital set this month called Holly Days .  This set comes with 5 black and white line drawings, 5 full color images and 5 word images / sentiments.  I had so much fun creating projects with this set! Card #1 Peace on Earth started with an enlarged print of a holly sprig.  It was colored with Copic Markers then layered onto designer papers from Basic Grey's Jovial pad. A machine stitched border, gems and the sentiment printed onto a banner finish the card. Card #2 Holly Days began by creating the base panel with various holly images from the set.  I used Microsoft Word to scatter the pre-colored images.  It was then printed onto designer paper from Basic Grey's Jovial pad.  The Holly Days sentiment was enlarged, printed and layered onto red cardstock.  A few sparkle enamel dots finish the card. The Mixed Media Tag began with a pre-cut kraft tag.  I applied a layer of deco foil transfer gel duo...
